Thanks, I hadn't understood the distinction. Probably not enough online kills yet! It's a good idea.

Its Air Combat Jim, but not as you've known it

Welcome to the world of on-line combat. Bring your friends!

Oh, and yes get Teamspeak ASAP and think about joining a Squad or at least try to fly regularly with guys you will get to know on TS. Its much more satisfying.

Whenever I try join an online game no servers are up or If I can join the servers are buggy as hell with aircraft doing weird stuff like flying backwards or something random.

S!

Nice story and welcome to online of CoD. Can be fun and sometimes nerve wrecking. But still you press Create and start up again I had a nice fight last evening in ATAG. Flew along with 3 other Bf109E's, spotted a Sissyfire trying to make a lead turn to get on our tails. So warned the guys and engaged to buy time for others.

I noticed at first turns that his one was not a Sissy Mk.I or Mk.Ia but the WarpTech Mk.II. Still managed to stay out of his sights and suddenly found myself behind him = promptly pumped in cannon and MG fire making him sputter smoke. Went to snap in the last MG burst and suddenly he warped into me = boom both died Gosh you sometimes hate this, reminds of old IL2 where some ppl where pressing PrintScreen to make themselves lag.

What is most irritating online: ghost planes, darned hard to spot anything and so forth. But I think the next patch could bring something to the table with the new GFX coding. But on TS it is great to meet other peeps and fly with them.

My experience on the old Warclouds server where we flew as a team (blue vs red).... We've never had a problem shooting each other targets if it got them out of the fight sooner, so we could prepare for the next attack.

I really would like to fly in ATAG more often. But unfortunately I get a launcher freeze each time I'm getting close to an enemy plane.

So I keep on playing on REPKA#1 instead.

Very nice report and good pics, jimbo! Welcome online, mate, you are now in the highschool of combat flight sim, and you'll never go back to the offline kindergarten! And also, do join a squad, that's the next best advice I can give you

Lesson 5: Check six. And check it again. And what do you do when you are surprised that there aren’t any enemy planes about? Yes, check six. Check it high and check it low. Make it part of your engine management routine.

I should note at this point that if I had been on teamspeak, even if I was only listening, I would probably not have a) chased a team mate right across the channel and, b) not have been surprised by the 109.
Has that 109 got it's wheels down? ,is it a bug surely you wouldn't go into combat with wheels down unless it was survival.
