Or are you, for now, content with campaigns where half of your squad crashes into the ground while on landing approach, because you're not able to inform them of your intentions? (yes, I know, there's the "circle and circle until everybody else has landed" workaround...) What about having 3+ bandits on your tail and nobody comes to your aid (read: nobody can be contacted)? Does it really cut it for now? Would you say that bug-fixing priorities where chosen wisely? Let's assume that Radio comms would have been fixed instead of colours - would the added gameplay depth (in fact. the whole gameplay depth...) not be quite a bit better in terms of compensation for "bright" colors? @cheesehawk mh, I had the same feelings once. But I wonder what the world would have looked like before the advent of Photography (the Cameras themselves always capturing the true world, as you say) in the 1830-1850s? I bet that back then, you could make out brush strokes on people's faces, clothes etc... indeed pretty much on everything, but the world got actually MORE color before Cameras got involved ![]() What can we deduce from that? Hmm, I think that, in order to get Graphics historically correct, games like Napoleon:Total War should be made to provide quite an artistic, colorful experience, with heroic poses all over the place! ![]() |

And isn't that spectacular compared to CoD's maps and textures. But is one of the better IL2 1946 maps. ![]() If you are looking to fly around in virtual scenery and scalability like this, then you and me will have to wait a very long time. ![]() Last edited by KG26_Alpha; 10-06-2011 at 03:56 PM. |

That's life... the "optics" make the first impression.
![]() What's the most popular phrase in the world of a car salesman? "The car is great, but I don't like the color..." However... this sim wants to be state of the art and with state of the art gaming hardware it is IMAHO by now the best fighter sim available and great fun to fly. (at least after Beta patch 1) |

The Ai seems to be not to be too bad the coms are far from good maybe very poor or even not existent. There are some limitation in altitude that should not be there. Planes should fly higher than they do in the game. It is not funny but realistic. Due to com limitations the Radar are of no use. Otherwise this is a great game and for me the game of the year 2011.

I completely agree with to OP.
Tweaking the lighting/color when the game doesn't even run like it should is like slapping on a new coat of paint to a house when the foundation needs work. And why were they working on 3D? That's a bigger problem than SLI? I don't understand. Are we not heard or are the devs smoking meth? Haha. Seriously, what is going on? |
