Win7-64 can run in demo mode for several weeks iirc which is enough to check if it helps. IIRC you can reinstall it again many times to prolong your trial if it was not enough to make a decision.

Multiple reports are saying WinXP-32 causes crushes in CloD which disappear after installation of Win7-64.

I think XP support will be discontinued in Battle of Moscow as XP is not supported in modern games any more. E.g. Vista is stated in minimum spec for Battlefield3 and Win7-64 as recommended http://bf3blog.com/battlefield-3-system-requirements/
Same for ArmA 3 http://www.pcgamer.com/2011/05/19/ar...ents-revealed/

You can install Win7-64 demo as a second OS only for CloD.

BigRepa told me all Repka servers started to use more memory after the recent official patch - this confirms that memory management is changed in the patch (but servers do not need more than 4gb).

This guy reported that with 4gb RAM he had only 200-300mb of "not allocated" memory remaining and microstutters. Adding another 4gb fixed microstutters and the system now shows 4.3gb RAM used in total. http://www.sukhoi.ru/forum/showthrea...4&daysprune=30 (use Google translate)
BTW it is another proof you can not run CloD on x32 without stutters or crushes.

Install Gamebooster or similar free software and unload all processes from memory if you have 4gb like I do. If I forget to start Gamebooster I have CTD when switching objects in external views couple of dozen times on Repka2 or 3.

Great. That might explain the new CTDs and return of stutters then. Sometimes I just.. this game is... there are just no words.

I think it is too early to make this conclusion. These are just WIP changes. It can become worse or much better in the next patch. Give them another 6 to 18 months before making conclusions. There are many other things to enjoy in the meanwhile.
