That said, I bet it's funnier to play this game online than offline (most games are). And furthermore, this game has indeed graphically features, that are far superior to that of the recent CloD graphics - I would so wish, that the terrain graphics from BoP, would be implemented into CloD (without the green filter, that is).

Believe u me, on the CloD forum, they're having hot debates wether the graphics exceeds those of the CloD. Well now you all know my point of view in this matter (I lke the former - BoP that is) and this "babbling thread" might in fact just be an expression of sheer frustration (BoP being prettier than CloD).
So, I apologize for my slightly obnoxious behavior. I still don't like the gameplay of WoP (BoP), though...
we're all a bit touchy about BoP, it's a very small community.

We all appreciate the fact that we can jump into a Spitfire or whatever, and just mess about, it looks great, plays better than any other filght game on console and taps into a passion that I left behind when I got out of PC flight sims after CFS3.

At the end of the day it's about the planes, if you like WW2 aviation and own a console, it's a must have, the closest we can get.

Hi peeps, thought id drop in and say my 2 cents..

first off all im not Single..lmao

Secondly you cannot compare a console 'sim' of which its not to a PC sim..not in any way shape or form apart from it has planes in it..and trees

I have been and indeed still are a PC simulation fan..make that ww2 simulation fan as the whole fire and forget thing with me doesnt cut it..each to their own

but

In my break from PC'n i went to consoles and untill recently have owned both for a long time purchased said game on the PS3 and i like the OP wasnt impressed..gfx were amazing, story line was Okay but thats it..only because ive been brought up enjoying my Sims...This game is not a Sim and shouldnt be compared to such...Dont go anywhere near these types of games on a console if you want a Simulation...there isnt a market for it

On the other hand this game is great if you want to just plug in sit back and kick some EA's butt wihtout all the BS that goes with it...added to to the fact i was doing it on a 44'' samsung in HD with a Pioneer 7.1 sound system though i think only 5.1 was used, the best thing unlike Cliffs of Dover which im enjoying now i didnt have to go and spend £500 on a PC and then...no wait more RAM and a complete different GFX card for when the game was actually released so i could actually play it!..

I could buy a PS3 for the same money my HD6950GFX card cost give or take..

In a nutshell..

OP you shouldnt even be buying or trying this game if you are a fan of PC sims or at least approach it with a Open mind..

Hmmm, I reckon I just scratced yor pride or hurt your innermost feelings - well I'm sorry, wasn't on purpose.
But to ask me to go away, I find insulting and blatantly...

The enemy has always the advantage, no matter what altitude you try to gain and they can always find you, even in the pit black of night (when they are high above and you try to seek cover at the deck).
And the P-51 is totally broken - it climbs like a freighttrain and turns like ferry (that means not at all) and cant turn the slighliest to the left, not without snaprolling followed by an iminant total stall...
There's no feeling with the stick and the controls in game. I jerk and work with the joystick, but to no avail. The plane seems to have it's life on its own.
So yes, I find this game very bad...

Hi there,

and welcome to the BOP forum. Your wording may have spilled over from the frustration that reigns at the Cliffs of Dover forums. We're a much smaller community here and usually tread much more gently. Perhaps we're also not taking ourselves and the simulation aspect of what we do here all too seriously, but believe me we do have a lot of fun together.

The P51 in the game is, as all planes are, overpowered. Topspeeds are capped which gives you a funny combination of incredible climb performance but weak level speeds. So yes, it's not such an authentic flight model.

But boy is it a joy to fly! Wings of Prey has seen a recent update which brought their P51 model to original performance specs. But the joy of flight, the ease of moving through the dimensions, is still unsurpassed here in this game. Perhaps that's why I, and others, love it so much.

Feel welcome to fly online with us sometime.

MAC

HELLO GUYS

first welcome to DK-nme,i respect your opinion but i think console planes games are very different of pc planes games,i speak of simulation of course, the difference is ,in console(i play on ps3)we are" the POOR PARENTS " of this sort of game ,just one good simulation plane game on ps3 and this is this one...and of course your PC is powerfuller than ours consoles...
for your point of view about the p51 ,i found ,before, that this plane (an many other) was a "flying potatoe" BUT with practice (MILLIONS THANKS TO MACADEMIC TO CREATE THE P51 PURIST CLUB!!!) i became to change my opinion and now i find it good ,in fact after look for many news about the technical performance of the real planes of ww2,i find the bop planes realistic, and without to be disrespectful with the P51,which is one of the best plane of ww2,i find that a lot of guys think that this plane is "magic" and u must just fly with it in bop to kill everybody ,even if i repeat this plane is exelent,we don't forget there is a part of propaganda in all the stories of all the ww2 planes of all the nationnalities ,and the history always remenber the words and the documents of the winners...in fact i think the p51 was exelent in WW2 because it was the only plane which had a good performances in all the property of fly ,and not only in the manoeuvrability ,where some planes was better than him i think.
we don't forget too, that we are in a video game and it is totally impossible to have the real conditions of fly and tactics that in the real dogfight of ww2..
that is my opinion and i repeat,i respect your opinion DK-nme,i find this game exelent, fun ,where there are a lot of gentlemen, always a pleasure to play...!

cordialy
