Differences.

There are enhanced extra bloom effects. its quite exagerated up close but that is to enhance the flash angle reflect at distance (true plane spotting)

Clouds now recieve lighting and it produces backlit a effect.

Dusktime sees more colour bleed from the land

Specular sun effects are brighter, last longer.

the powerfull sun has been reduced when behind clouds. that also includes the blinding effect thats been re worked.

the sun light does not flicker when behind a cloud

Everything is more vivid.

the shadowing is darker.

the sky has more colour variation (blue), This is now in good contrast with the colourng of the land and the shaders it recieves. still imo not correct, but more dynamicly alive !

Another bonus potentially related to the lighting solution is my fps is way way higher then it was. I was using the latest beta patch which included alot of the changes apart from lighting and i think the finalised full screen mode and my fps is at least 10/15 higher and stuttering is reduced to the point that i can actually enjoy the game.

Yes, same time.

yeah alright, i'm getting carried away, what i mean is ive not had an enviromental based game with a more full set of shaders used absolutely everywhere. real generous poly structures. its Lush man ! and so vivid.

I noticed a few things on the screenshot on the previous page: What is it with the striped horizon? It's not the first time I see something like this.
A settings issue perhaps? Like the purple coloured parts I've seen already in various YouTube clips?

And what about this kind of uprising piece of countryside. Will cause some unpleasant surprises when going out in your car for a Sunday afternoon picknick.

the horizon line is an ATI issue. but..

DB605 those shots are old shots pre yesterday patch ? The top small image is new isnt it ? looks like the small shot is new engine, large shots old too me.
