Also there is a need for British trucks and more airfield objects such as bomb trolleys, fire and fuel trucks, hucks starter trucks etc. Anything new in the way of ships etc.

Basically, just about anything that floats that Northrop-Grumman doesn't lay claim to is needed in the game. The selection of ships in the game is far less lavish than the plane selection. It's especially weak for the UK and Italy.

My preference would be for the boats and smaller ships which were the natural prey of strike fighters and light bombers, but beggars can't be choosers.

For land vehicles, I'm most interested in soft vehicles and guns which were used near the combat zone. More artillery pieces and prime movers - especially for US, UK, IT (although I'm surprised that the RSO and Stalinets prime movers aren't in the game). At least one distinctive truck for early war UK, late war UK (CMP would be a good choice), IT, and FR.

Something else which would help is the ability for players to make skins for objects other than aircraft, which would allow things like theater or campaign-specific camouflage.

Perhaps I am mistaken and you are meaning something else, but this is already in the game?

Now that would be quite cool, certainly a neat feature to have.

I'd like to see some Air Plane Parts, Wings, Half bombers,

And a lot of smaller ships, Barges

Higher sand bags, and walls of them for covering buildings.

AAA gun towers

Desert objects, we have a Tobruk map but there are very few desert objects. Definitely need desert camo nets, and bllast pens, gun pits etc. Small pre made tent rows etc such as a 6 row etc. Currently there ar eno 25 pdr guns or tractors or british trucks at all. one can use bofors static guns but no heavy AA for british either. Also make the tropical filters show on desert maps for the hurricanes. And skins for the wellingtons to reflect desert camo.

I would like to have lights that illuminate nearby objects for those moody nighttime scenes. Searchlights do that but they are awkward to use and have to be activated by an enemy aircraft.

I would like to see convoys of ships.

It takes time to add individual ships, give them way points and coordinate their movements when building missions. But just like we have diffrent types of vehicle columns to add and give waypoint I would love to see convoy variants of this for ships.
A group of mixed merchant/transport ships, preferably with variation so there are both escorted and unescorted convoys and diffrent sizes, that you could add just as easily as you do a vehicle column.
A bonus would also be if you had a few formations to choose from just as you do with the aircrafts.

Actually, the "AAA gun tower" in that famous P-47 film sequence/frame capture is nothing more than a French water tower. The film was either incorrectly captioned or deliberately mislabeled for propaganda purposes.

Notice that there are no apertures for guns, and no return fire against the attacking plane, plus a roof which would vastly reduce field of fire for any AA gun mounted at the top of the tower. Also, the tower doesn't correspond to standard German AA tower designs.

There's the chance that there was a German sniper or MG nest in that tower, but not a deliberately emplaced AAA defense.

That said, there were and are many different patterns of brick or concrete water towers which dot the European landscape, some of them are over 100 years old. During WW2, they were common landmarks/waypoints as well as being targets of opportunity. So, adding a few different water tower patterns would be a nice addition to any Western European map.

+1 on this request. Plus high sandbag and/or wooden blast shields which can be placed around large oil tanks, as were found at Ploesti during the War.

I'd also like to see various industrial pipe sections, conveyor belts, industrial buildings etc. which could be used in a modular fashion to represent factory complexes which produce petroleum or chemical products (e.g., refineries, coal gasification plants, synthetic gas plants, chemical plants). These were common strategic targets during the war for both Allies and Axis.

Possibly, there could be more distinctly Soviet factory objects, in particular the buildings which made up the Dzeshinsky Tractor Factory in Stalingrad.

Many of these could be simple re-skins of existing objects. Blast pens for Malta and North Africa seem to be in progress.

Pre-made rows of barracks, oil tanks, etc. would also be convenient for mission builders.

Technically, the Brits can use US pattern trucks, but they would need to be reskinned for desert maps. For distinctly British North African "soft" targets, I'd choose:

Artillery, AT & AAA Guns
25 pdr howitzer (emplaced and en train)
2 pdr AT gun (emplaced and en train)
6 pdr AT gun (emplaced and en train)
Bofors 40 mm AA gun (emplaced and en train)

Trucks
Quad field gun tractor (with and without en train guns)
Austin K2 Ambulance

Bedford OY truck (with and without en train guns)

"Portee" mobile AT gun
Bedford OY & 2 pdr AT gun "portee gun"
