No, anyone can view the wiki. There isn't any content yet as the game is still new and we need to know what all the available features will be and how they will work when the sim is more functionally complete. For example the Quick missions feature is in flux and has already changed considerably since release.

I'm convinced

I'll try and draw up a basic site layout soon if one isn't planned. Though initially we could start building the web pages for each plane. I like the Sukhoi wiki where they showed the BF110 cockpit and labelled everything. We should do similar with in-game screenshots.

Other things to add would be start up procedure, best settings for take-off/landing/cruising/top speed, history, and so on.

I fear the best use I can be is mostly game configuration related and technical support. I'll leave performance and specs to the people who are sitting on good resources.

M4T member Corsican_Corsair has got cockpit info on almost all the cockpits used in IL-2 1946, he did the cockpit guide it will provide a good starting point.

There is a new forum for wiki discussion, there will be a wiki editors group created who will moderate the forum and have access to editing the wiki, please apply within or by private message.

ManfromX or anyone who may build one. I just recently found World of Tanks thanks to someone on this site and it has a Wiki that i think is built very well for a Free to play game. Much more user friendly then the standard style used by most MMO's these days IMO. I think something in this type of format would work very well for this type of game. Check it out.

(Disclaimer) I am in no way shape or form connected to the World of Tanks game what so ever. I am not being paid to advertise there wiki or there game and i am just a guy who thinks that there type of wiki page would work well for IL2 COD as well. sorry if this breaks the rules please delete it if it does.

I played World of Tanks as well (fun little game).

That is a nice wiki and some good ideas are there for sure. Notably using icons for the hyperlinks. Would make sense to do something similar for planes if we can.

Hopefully we can get some content up soon so we can start organizing and fleshing out the flow of the wiki.
