I think it's great that people are announcing that they're not going to buy this game. It's the sort of thing that I really care about, and I can't get enough of it. In fact, I enjoy it so much that this morning I went to the local food store and yelled through the door that I'm not buying any food there for a few weeks. Good times...

There's no point in complaining about potentially modified graphics, or sounds, or any other bloody thing since, well, beggars can't be choosers. As far as modern WWII sims go this is the only one in the world (don't anyone dare mention Wings of Prey). If we don't support this game and give it every possible chance, that's it. We might have to wait a decade before anybody cares enough to even try making another decent sim.

I cannot believe the incredible sense of entitlement on these forums. All these complainers talking about cancelling orders are cutting off their nose to spite their face. It's like starving yourself to death during a food shortage because the stores can't get in your favourite brand of pickles.

Here's the main message of this post

"Calm down, stop pointing fingers and making such a riot out of this"

seriously, this thing is escalating like an arabic revolution.

Now I have a few things to say

#1 - Forum's general disapprovement and lack of understanding.

Please try to understand that there are probably a lot of factors behind the release that you cannot possibly imagine. Try to avoid short-sightedness and judging everything if you think the developers had enough slack time-wise and economically. I don't know the truth, but I can see why the release is in it's current condition if say Oleg and his team were "pushed" to release it.

#2 - Gratefulness.

This simulator has probably received the worst welcoming and that's all thanks to YOU! There are too many people here that can't grasp the fact that they are outright flaming the people who have worked so many hours, in fact over half a DECADE to bring US this simulator. Why? Because somebody in russia is posting poor fraps-videos from poor systems, and you jump over it like vultures and shove it in the developers faces as "proof" of a poor game!? Tell you what, it's better they release the game in a half-finished state (call it a beta) and by buying it, we can support further improvement and development, which brings me to the next topic.

#3 - Show some support, have some faith!!

By revoking your game orders I can only hope you arrogant fools will see that in a few months, everybody is talking about the hype of IL-2 COD after it got it's initial patches! You're acting like childs, because sooner or later this simulator is going to steady itself on it's feet. I remember Rise Of Flight when I installed it for the first time. It was an absolute short-coming to my expectations, so what? It was still fun once you got around the bugs. Now, it's a great simulator, with more and more content being added and better improvements along the way! As for performance, the first version was poor! Now I can run it smoothly, even after "upping" the graphics settings! The bugs have to be ironed out and the longer we remain patient, the more rewarding the wait will be. You'll see!

#4 - Constructive critisizm

You are NOT acheiving ANYTHING by calling the developers stupid, poor, idiotic or unfair. Some of you should go wash your mouth with a strong detergent. You realize that by attacking the persons behind this project instead of attacking the bugs and gameplay issues (which pardon me, STFU about until you have physically played the game yourself - youtube reference does NOT count), you are not achieving anything other than to harass them and discourage them to support us.
Think about this:

Help them, help us!

And by help I do not mean attack/flame/whine, but report things in a polite and adult manner.

#5 - Cut them some slack for god's sake!

Give them some time to absorb the explosion of hatred already unleashed at these forums. Nobody in the english forum should be entitled to say anything anyhow until they have a copy running on their PC. This forum should be on lockdown until it's released in the western hemisphere, then, please I beg you all out there:

CONSTRUCTIVE, SUPPORTIVE Critizism.

PLEASE! We can use youtube as a tool you know to highlight errors and bugs, or even send them ingame track files so the devs can re-run the tracks after they have made adjustments. All these kinds of positive-supportive thinking will benefit us in the future.

The whine, flame and bash however, does not!
Yeah hear what you're saying but your line

''Nobody in the english forum should be entitled to say anything anyhow until they have a copy running on their PC''

This is our problem we don't want this filter taking away fps which is vital in a sim of this scale and what obviously is going to be a great sim once it has been removed, remove it and we will in our droves purchase it.

No one is bashing anyone here, but it is difficult not to put the blame at the feet of UBI who have forced this filter to be implemented.

Please do not patronise us by saying 'try to understand' we understand too well the implications of this ridicoulous farce.

Believe me the critizism on here does'nt have to be constructive ,hell why should it be,they have promised nirvana, and we in the West will get a shambolic version.

After seeing all the blogs, screenshots and videos,we will not see the game in it's full beauty and you're saying keep calm and stop making a riot out of this, sorry but this is a really stupid thing to say,get real, the guys on here are bloody livid, why would'nt they be .

Either you're working for 1C or UBISOFT or you are extremly naive, wake up and smell the coffee!

I've been waiting for this sim for eight years with high expectations. There are a few aspects of the sim I'm not completely happy with, but I'm not venting, because I'm old enough to know that shyte happens.

I'm also aware that what you see now will be constantly improved over the next many years. I would much rather play the game now with its warts than wait another year while the issues are fixed.

The developers are well aware of the problems and don't need us shoving them in their face endlessly. The developers are also fans of the genre just like us, and I'm not aware of anyone else taking there place anytime soon.

You have to look at the big picture with a little long sighted view. If you can't do that maybe you can get a few other experts to join you in a new development team. I assure you after a few years you will gain alot more respect for what Olegs team has accomplished over the last ten years.

The forums have become very negative advertising for COD. This could hurt UBISOFT's profit margin alittle, force Maddox Games to change directions into genre's that make more money with less work, and dry up WW2 Air Combat simulators for years.

The long (hugely) wait for CoD, and the fantastic previews, has created a great expectation... So why then you are surprised for comments of disappointed customers? the simple truth is, we buy the game (original) and we demand it can work fine, all the rest are only craps.

But don't worry, I'm sure the purpose of all this mess is to make pressure mainly on UBI, and the simple fact that so many has posted in this forum, should give you a clear picture of how much interest there is for the game.

The point with the Epilepsy filter is that Luthier was HONEST with us in explaining a problem that was found in development. Why not give a man who is being honest the benefit of the doubt that he will be honest in the future? I'm sorry if I offend any of the naysayers, but the whole blowup over a minor thing just doesn't make any sense.

Luthier said "we screwed up, were gonna fix it" any expectation that they won't hold up this promise is unfounded, and any expectation that they are incapable of making mistakes is foolish. What gives?

As for Oleg & Co creating any hype concerning COD, that's just Bull$hit! Every single bit of hype comes from the feeble minds of those who think there is any.

Couldn't have said it better myself, there are too many hysterical infants on this site that obviously have no idea of the concept of waiting and judging once they know all the facts, and even then dealing with the situation calmly and constructively.
While I had my doupts about this game ever appearing, I have no doubt whatsoever that whatever little problemettes there are will all be sorted in good time.

CHILLAX everyone and stop already with the hysterics.

I think there is a very good case to be made for not making the community aware they were even building the next generation combat flight sim. I'm not sure the communities input is worth the trouble it also creates. This communities input would be more valuable after the initial release when the hard work is done and there is more time to make changes to a flexible game engine. But its said that even bad publicity is good publicity, and most of the angst will be forgotten if the initial release makes enough to validate continued work on the sim.

Strike Dude,

You took the words right out of my mouth. Now let's all Man Up and unbind our panties. No body died here. It's all virtual for goodness sake. I think you all need a B-12 shot and should take a nap.
