As I understand it you will need a steam account ONLY if you wish to fly online using the ingame browser.Cliffs Of Dover is supposed to be able to use 3rd party external lobbies(HyperLobby).So if you do not want steam then you can use the 3rd party browser.
Activation is done by Solidshield unless you d/l a Steam version in which case it is Steam activated. I am not sure if there is a lan option.I expect there to be a straight IP to IP option. If you only fly OFFLINE then you do not need steam. |
