Looks fine to me. I think those guys do at least some research.

Anyway, after so long outside, exposed to the elements, the original colors are going to be severely altered. Still, you can see the yellow on the rudder, and that there is yellow behind the cross and covering a tiny bit of the rear canopy fairing.

I would venture to say that the plane was over-painted sometime in service, and that's why there's another yellow band further back.

If you're worried about the "brightness", don't. She will be dull and grungy in no time

They did fine on this one:

Yeah, their Emil is sweet, love the paint on that one. I'll just have to wait until they fly the 190 again, I'm glad they didn't go for another grey mottle scheme like the flugwerk ones.

these green brown camo looks like a typical JG54 one.
JG54 Fw190 had often very different colours than the 'typical' grey ones of other Luftwaffeunits !

You guys sound like you think that they make "weathered" colors in the factory.

no but a bit of weathering adds to the immersion of such a war plane

Remember, this is a real plane and real paint, not a videogame "skin".

Even back then, planes came off the production line looking....NEW.

I'd say it looks gorgeous.

If the green was that colour, it would have been seen from space and recovered years ago.
Those colours were applied in the field by JG54 to hide their aircraft on the ground...What ever colour was used, that green is wrong.

That was not what I meant, of course they came rolling out with new bright paint, but to fit in his historical content, which is not a showmodel but a warbird, some weathering gives the plane immediately more history behind it, as if it was grasped out of the heat of combat, but that's just personal taste.
