I'm yet to play the original despite owning the disc for 12 months, (another story altogether) but if they do the pacific of europe please include the P-38 for the love of god. Sorry I'm obsessed with that aircraft lol.

I'd like to see a mission based on Operation Vengeance taking Isoroku Yamamoto out. Some solid formation flying skimming the ocean, then taking the mastermind down in his Betty followed by battles with the retaliating/escorting zero's with very limited fuel to get back home with would be nice imho.

Anyone heard from anton lately?
Anyone from 1C care to share any information??
Hi mate, I'm a Kiwi too, from Christchurch, I imported Apache for around 70 NZD, but I see EB Games NZ has it listed for a March release here, so maybe just hold off till then.

@trk29, just out of interest, who did you ask about the sequel? I'm hoping the silence from Anton and co means they're hard at work on a sequel, if you hear anything let us know mate!

We will have to play some Apache together, did you get it for ps3?

I asked admin of 1C so unless they know something now or if they were not allowed to say I don't know for sure. I asked several months ago.

Unfortunatly I think Apache did rather poorly in sales (understatement). Hopefully this won't affect any WWII based sequel to BoP.

There is supposed to be a sequel to WOP for sure. Given that Gaigin has the entire engine for IL2 it is likely that one of the IL2 expansions i.e. 'Pacific Fighters' would be the natural choice for a similar rework using Gaigins graphics engine. I really hope so but we have to wait and see. Microsofts CFS2 went that route and was very succesful but it had little or no competition. There are a lot of excellent ac both Japanese and Allies in the Pacific theatre and many of the campaigns are carrier based which is great fun. Not sure you could have a 'Capture the Carrier' option in MP though.............

We have to wait and see but why not post on the BOP YuPlay forum and at least let Gaigin know that BOP is still a firm favourite and there is a market for a console sequel.

I do hope there is a sequel as id pay money just to fly the N1k shiden, J7W shinden and the corsair round wake or pearl. I love the pacific theater.
It wouldn't be capture the carrier it would be sink the carrier.

is apache worth the coinage i.e cash???

i really hope there is a sequal to bop plainly for the reasons that have been mentioned, and hopfully with many of the aspects that make it the way it is in the first place.

Thumbs up If only...

I would kill for a sequel to BOP, but I would just as gladly take a major update to BOP.
I have trolled the makers and publishers sites and have found nothing as of yet.
Though I do remember a post on yuplay that hinted at a sequel.

let me find that post...

We are very willing to make sequel (and are doing some development already, incorporating new features to Wings of Prey).
We hope, we'll sign deal with some publisher (developers can't release X360 game themselves, without publisher, even on XB Live) - the Birds of Prey was successful, probably not the best title of all times, but meets expectations.
We do not have publishing deal signed yet.
