I seriously can't differentiate between whether this is a genuine community driven initiative or an elaborate baiting/trolling scheme and trust me, i mean it in the nicest possible way and with no ill will against anyone. I'm just genuinely confused

I think you guys are referring to Oleg's comment that they don't use the team's most powerful PCs for taking the Friday screenshots, because these PCs are reserved for coders and designers to work on since they are faster.

In that case, if i was in Oleg's position and the community bought me a brand new, top of the line PC guess what i would do? Snap the Friday pictures on it at full detail? Nope. I would put an extra designer from my team to work on that top spec PC to make sure he can finish his/her work faster and with less time waiting for the code to compile or the 3d models to render between each correction he/she makes

I'm thinking the same thing Blackdog, and tending to come down on the second option.

Tree, I don't know if this was meant as a subtle joke or more point-scoring but it's all getting pretty tired now.

I'll just add that I don't consider myself particularly cynical, but my personal 'bullshit-meter' just jumped off the scale on reading your post.

Not meant as anything other than what i suggested, and it doesnt matter how the PC is used it can only be beneficial. I am happy to give my time for free if it helps out, it seems obvious that money is a bit tight at maddox games, so i thought this may help.

I think I will finally see SoW in all its glory the day it is installed on my computer.I KNOW it will be fantastic,so I can wait until then.
If Oleg wanted to show us full on up to date screenshots,I have no doubt he could do so.
I think he wants us to wait, and be amazed.

I suggest you email both AMD and Nvidia's Moscow offices, point out there's a community out there which is very excited about this upcoming game, and last but not least, the delivered eye candy related to certain pc parts could actually affect their consuming habits.

I mean, they could reach a few thousand of their core customers for roughly $200 each.
Sounds like a bargain.

We have been laying back since 2004 When SOW was first mentioned, I think 7 years enough, I would have done less time for armed robbery.
