Default The greatest ww ii movies ever

Everytime I watch this movies along with playing this vidogames, I become more prompted to build scale models so I can make my own stories and endings:

Greatest Movies ever:
The Battle of Britain,Enemy At The Gates,A Bridge Too Far,12 O'clock High,The Bombing of Dresden [makes me pitty the Germans],The Tuskegee Airmen [makes me hate Racism, my favorite quote from this film "How do I feel about my country and how does my country feel about me" this movie makes me cry, I said it and I'm proud] Cheers to the 332nd Fighter Group the "best Aces ever", dead from above from the P51 red tails,The Memphis Belle,U-boat 751,Saving Private Ryan,Life is Beautiful[makes me cry also, hate the Holocaust],The escape from sobibor,Band of Brothers, Windtalkers
Greatest Games so far made: All Medal of Honor Series, Call of Duty series, Battlefield series, IL 2 sturmovik birds of prey, Secret Weapons over Normandy.

I can asure you my friend it is no supermarine spitfire, it is a Hurricane, after the crash James C. Chase had after shooting down all the Bf109s I had to saw-off the front and the wings as they were either crushed, blown away or deformed my the explosion [melted]. I could just had let the Hurricane burn into flames, but since it was my first plane I decided to save it's remains, and here they are after 7 years [ During which he has survive several crash landings and explosions, He has Rule the skies 3 time getting back into action more ferocious than ever before, His last score was bombing 4 Panzers, Shooting 6 Bf 109s and 1 He 111]. This plane has crashed behind enemy lines in multiple ocasions, but it is always free by brave soldiers who risk their lives to recover him "No Germans should lay a hand on his Royal airframe".

Forgive me , Rommel likes to Dramatize a little his battlefield reenactments just like the greatest movies above /\. Currently Watching A Bridge Too Far

I like your eccentricity Luftwaffe Rommel but I'm with Foz on this one, it looks like a Spit to me. Great models btw.

Default Yeah, it culd be a spitfire why not

I think now I'm in doubt, debating between Hurricane or Spitfire. Well whenever I rebuild him he looks like a hansome Hurricane, maybe this time I'll make him a spitfire, we'll see how he looks then.

Latest News on Bridge Too Far
The Germans are being pounded with artillery fire and teh Typhon fighters are about to bomb their positions, boy i wouldn't want to be call Rommel at this time. hahaha. Oh they Typhons are here, what a great bombing run. The Shermans are now pushing forward.

If you look at the "remains" of the plane (with the guy stood next to it) you can tell by the tail fin alone that its a spitfire also where the canopy would be it differs from that of a hurricane, also the fuselage is to thin. Its a spitfire alright thank god it wasnt a hurricane!! seeing a hurricane in bits is not a sight i wish to see

As for films....

A battle of britain is absolutely superb. Top 3 aerial war films are as follows -

Battle of Britain
633 Squadron
The Dambusters

Am I the only person on this forum to think that FOZ is Sir Sydney Camms grandson?

U571 one of the best films of all time? I love war films above all else but I can't abide that film. Not only the historical innacuracy but the subs attacking each other with torpedos. That's akin to ww2 aircraft with guided missiles. I wouldn't use the DVD of that film to scrape soles of my boots.
A Bridge Too Far, that's a great war film. Pretty accurate and shows all sides of the battle equally

I will have a look for that one Dave. I am always on the lookout for more obscure war films. I picked a good one up last year called "Men Of Yamato". Big budget Japanese film about the battleship Yamatos last mission. Pretty harrowing seeing the ship get hammered by the dive and torpedo bombers
