Why wait so long? By then Men of War will be entirely forgotten and we will be making mods for other games. The world would have gone through 10 PlayStations in 30 years.

I feel with you about that. I learned a lot about WW2 in Germany and I am very pleased to see how they reflect their past and how Germany in general deals with WW2 and the crimes from a historical point. I wish the Serbian population or historians would deal the same way with their past and the things they did in the former Yugoslavian wars the same way Germany deals with its own past and crimes in WW2 it would be a good sign for example if Serbia would start to denunciate those criminals that did crimes in the name of Serbia for example. Not that I want to compare those wars though. Historicaly they are 2 different areas. But its the way how to deal with it and accepting your own faults so its possible at some point to co-exist with your neighbours peacefully and with better relations. But well maybe with new generations and more time ...

I guess the war between Iran and Iraq didnt saw any less cruelty and violance compared to former Yugoslavian wars. I mean the Iran - Iraq conflict took how long 8 years or something ? Thats quite some time when you think that even just one day in war is to long ...

I guess what makes Yugoslavian wars maybe a bit difference is the many groups and nations that have been involved. Not just the single nations like Serbia, Croatia but also quite big paramilitaric forces like serbian armies which operated inside of croatia. Once the nations eventualy talked about a sease fire you would still see those para militairs doing their actions and just heat up the whole conflict more and more. Cant say I am really proud about my my people in that time. They did a lot of bad crimes and many even today dont want to see what its a "good" thing to appoligize eventualy to your neighbours, families, brothers. Havnt seen Serbia for some time know so I cant really say how its everywhere today.

Not feeling comfortable about a Yugoslavian war mod though. But I am not complaining people can do mods about what ever they like of course

I lived through that fighting in the Balkans from day 1 until the peace treaties were signed, I see nothing wrong with making this mod, except the ultra nationalism that will be portrayed in the game. Thus, you need an expert on all three major armies of that period to have a non biased game.
