HELL NO! I hate CoD. If you love it, fine, but I don't.

This, though I am getting this game, it's only because a lot of my friends are, and I got it at a lower price because of EB's trade in deal.

MW2 is so overhyped it's not funny. I mean DEATHSTREAKS?!?! Really? Rewarding the people who can't get a kill is ridiculous.

Still my friend MW2 will regular have 75 thousand + players on at any one time (guessed by the fact that COD4 now has 68K and COD5 has 62K), BOP for all its greatness is lucky to have 75 players at one time.

So if only a third of those people switch there time to MW2 (me included) then it will be all but impossible to get an MP game on BOP.

But don't forget Assassins Creed 2 and L4D2 coming out soon too.
Not looking forward to anything myself till Red Dead Redemption next spring...
Red Dead Redemption was delayed?!? I thought it was out in November.

On topic, I'll be getting MW2 regardless of the quality (though I think it will be pretty good). so many friends are getting it, and having a lot of good people to play with can make even the worst game enjoyable.

Hehe, I played the original and I hated it, but I have high hopes for Redemption.

As for MW2, I am definitely not getting it. As I said a few weeks ago, I think it's going to end up being MW with a 2 in the title.

And what's this about deathstreaks? If that's really in the game, I'm going to be laughing at Infinity Ward.

CoD4 already gives you points for dying. IW new idea is to make it an actual feature of the MP, which is frankly farsical. If anything you should get points deducted and upgrades/unlocks and the like deducted for failure to survive.

Far to many games now are simply made for a quick buck and have lost sight of what games were supposed to be all about. The term "casual gamer" is simply a marketing ploy to cover up the fact that some developers nowadays are simply crap or lazy and dont/cant actually make a class title. Almost everyone by definition is a casual gamer, we dont play games for a living (although we would like to ) and up until recent times we never had a problem with a games "complexity" if it was a well made title.

Thats what drew people in to a game in the first place, not a fancy name and photoshoped gameplay pictures.

Oh thats not far of a rant there, woopsie. My bad.

Wow... Pretty bold statement seeing as how the game isn't even out yet.

Don't get me wrong... I don't think MW is the best game in the world... Nor do I expect MW2 to be the best game of all time...

But your statement makes no sense. MW2 is poised to be the #1 selling game of all time. (Unless you want to count Wii Sports into the equation)

Soooo... The game has over 2,000,000 preorders for both platforms... And that was a month ago. Yeah... IW is definitely on a death spiral. And like you Lex... I can definitely tell you that MW 2 is going to be garbage... Because we've both spent hours already playing it.

AND... If there's problems with the game... I doubt Infinity Ward is going to be able to put out patches to fix any issues. (That was a direct shot at 505)/Sarcasm

Lex... Your statement was just plain ignorant my friend.

I probably won't BUY MW2, but I will give it a try rental wise. I think some of the places, and locations seem cool. And it will probably take me away from BOP, not really because work has taken care of that mostly.

Why do the two have to compete?

I have MW2 on pre-order, as do about a million other people.

But just today, I went out and purchased a lapdesk for my flight controller/throttle controller combo to make playing IL-2 more comfortable - because I plan to play two games over the next many months. And that's IL-2 and MW2.
