Soviet Ace and Tudorp obviously didn't read the thread content - just the subject.

I was merely providing some insight into how games are left to wither and die - why it happens - and why it usually isn't up to the developers.

I have to admit, I didn't read the entire post, nor the replies. It looked like just another whine thread that has been going on the past week or two, so I didn't bother to read it all. My bad. I shouldn't have replied to a post I didn't read in it's entireity. But, I still stand by the comment that that issue is been way over discussed...

SL83 is pretty spot on. Although I do hope the hardcore sim community does not abandon this game. It's really the first of it's kind on a console...hardcore sim. I dont' want more Blazing Angels and Heroes over Blah crap games.

Hopefully there is enough interest and grass roots mobilization by the sim community to get MS and Sony to release the DLC.

The sim community even on PC has always had it rough cause we're a fringe group of gamers that never commands large profits like RTS, FPS, games.

We should just put the word HALO somewhere in the title..lol

It's pretty sad that that just might work.

Not just on the customers but also on the big cheeses in corporate that make the decisions to spend money on the game.

After reading this post, I just realized-has anyone been thinking that the publishers might never release the patch? Only a VERY small number of people actually care, it might be more cost effective just to abandon the game like you mentioned.

I guess they'd be decent enough to tell us, or at least the developers. But there's not really a lot of reasons not to publish it. The problem's supposed to be Sony, so I'm guessing all checking fees have been payed, and once it clears control at MS n Sony distribution is free (afaik).

I care, this game has the potential to go on for along time, even if there's only 100 or so people who play it.

Yeah that would be pretty disappointing. I am still playing the sinlge player mode quite a bit. I had 1946 in my box of games and reinstalled that a couple days ago, but hell if I can even get off the ground in that game.

The "tutorials" for 1946 are awful.
