DoraNine, thanks for the input. That's very good to know.

I looked at the Alfa models, and while no Stuka they look awesome too.
Considering what you've said those might be a better choice for me (alfa bf109 or fw190).

I've flied those Cessna-type beginner planes and that was pretty easy. I'm not too serious, so I don't want to throw down a lot of cash for something that disintegrates the moment I get it.

...So if I ever get spare cash a rc warbird might be a possibility. RC stuff is very relaxing!

How do you like the K98? I've got a PU Scoped 91/30 and an M44. Liked the Mausers, but the Mosins were practically given away as door prizes around here so went the cheaper route instead [/QUOTE]

Well I have not actually fired the K98 just yet. I need to clean it and oil it up. Also need to get some ammo. I cant wait to shoot it!! Still has all markings intact.

Hi, sorry about that

Yeah I've seen you online quite a bit recently, last night in fact. If I see you on my team, I'll try and watch your six as you hunt...

Infinite States,
You were definitely watching my six the other night -- as you were blasting me out of the sky

As I've said in other posts, my settings are for "Realsitic Mode", and I don't bother to change them -- so you can only imagine what happens to someone who goes into "Arcade Mode" in a 109 with the sensitivities turned down. I feel like that bloody stuff they tossed over the side of the boat in "Jaws", when they were trying to lure the shark in -- I believe its called "chum".

At any rate -- you're definitely a few leagues ahead of me as a pilot. Sorry about robbing you of a few kills (I crash alot) -- but not intentional at all. I have to resort to alot of "stall" tactics when I'm flying "Arcade" -- and sometimes I end up in somebody's living room -- or splattered across their lawn. I could crank up the sensitivities and fly a Hurri II, or La-5n, or a Spit when I go in there like everybody else -- but I only fly the 109s because I want to earn the G-10 and K models.

Yeah -- if you see me flying arcade, and you need alot of shot opportunities, just watch my six -- because there will be a whole train following behind me

LOL no problem It's easy to tell the difference between someone diving into the ground to deny score and someone not realising their evasive maneouver is going to end in tears... I really do recommend you set your sensitivities back to max when you join arcade games though. It takes only a couple of seconds at the start of the match - before any hostile contact.

No planes (yet, that micro mustangs almost too good to pass up) but I flew a few gliders as a kid and about 18 months ago got a Walkera #52 that I fly indoors/outside if its very calm.
Call me a sucker for punishment if you want but its my first heli and I love it. Not flown much for a while after letting someone alse have a go its needs some spares and having a house extension built put my 'flying room' (living room to everyone else) into a building site.

I need to get some spares ordered.

A Walkera #52, he's a damned unstable heli... no?

I've got a birotor LAMA V3, but it needs spare part as well, after a windy fly

That's the problem with those small helis can't fly indoor cause they are too big but can't fly outdoor either

It can get....twitchy (its a damn sight easier on RealFlight) but tbh as you said theres not much I can do at home besides hovering and try to set it down in one piece.

Lol... but I'm sure you still crashed hundred of them in RealFlight

Flight model of small Helis are not well coded, The birotor on RealFlight does not flight at all like my Lama which is really closed to the model in that Simulation though.

That's simple I can't move it fast in the Sim while I find my Lama a bit over reactive in real life

Default My "Little Bird"

For you helicopter pilots (Benrizz, King Jareth) -- here's a few pics of my most recent heli project (same ones on my website). It's a T Rex SA 450 -- that I'm putting an MH-6 "Little Bird" body on. Should be super cool once its done. I will say this though -- this thing is fifty times harder to fly than any plane I've ever had. I'm on my 4th or 5th set of blades already -- and I haven't even been able to hover for more than a few seconds without getting completely paranoid. I've flown planes for a few years now -- but I'm a total noob with this variable pitch heli. I've got a few other smaller helis (a couple of Blades) that I've put Huey, MD-500, and Seahawk bodies on -- but this thing takes some real practice to fly. Until I atleast master the hovering -- the body will have to wait
