the only 109 i think "looks" any good (looks, not performance) is the emile. I just wish they made the spitfire Mk2 and Mk1 and gave it the right camo scheme for the battle of britain. Would of like my hurricane to be more authentic to. But beggars cant be choosers i guess.

hopefully, they'll fix the p51d and fw-190. in the game, the fw-190 a-5 and F-8 both hane 2 guns and 2 cannons ( although F-8 can carry bombs.), but the D-9 has 2 20mm cannons and 1 30mm, IMO it has more stopping power, but handles worse...

I like the Emil as well. It's a good plane to go up against while flying around in my I-16. Since they both really did meet in the Spanish Civil War.

i find all the 109's are fairly easy to fly, they just dont suit my style of flying i'd of been crap in the luftwaffe as a fighter pilot lol.

I've been trying out the yaks (all models) and also the La5 and La7.......

i just cannot use the LA's they just seem so heavy and poor in a turn etc, hard to use. Maybe with more practise and patience it could be good..... but its just not for me.

The yaks..... nice to fly, smooth etc but not to good at taking hits and also has quite poor recoil i find. Might practise some more in the yaks though

still sticking to my spitfire for dogfights etc though lol.

Before I got on, I was flying my MkIX SPit against I think it was a 109F4? Maybe a G2? And I do like them. The MkIX is a good spitfire. I think better than the MkII or MkXIV? But I don't fly the MkXIV that much anyway.

And if your flying the Yaks and La's it is best to turn the elevator and ailerons about two or three notches from the max. It gives you a MUCH better turn rate and everything thing else. It works for me VERY VERY well, and I'm Soviet Ace

hmmm turning sensitivity up might help, but then again could hinder how i have it set for the other planes might try it though.

I was using the spitXVI religiously when i unlocked it, but have since switched back to the IX.

the XVI is faster and seems better in a climb etc (looks nicer to with those clipped wings), but with alot of players opting for the turnign fight, the IX has a better turning radius than the XVI.

Also they seem to have the same armaments, so playing chicken with anyway will have the same results... either your lucky or your dead.

Also 9/10 fights might start high, but they always finish down low. All my recent fights seems to be below 500ft.

Hahaha, whenever I fly online. I always immediately drop to the deck, and wait for my prey! I never start dogfighting where the altitude begins.

i found now (i prefer to play on sim) that i watch the fight fall to the deck, but i stay nice and high.

If anyone see's me and wants a piece....it will take them long enough to get to me so gives me plenty of chance to get away, they lose speed in the climb, i gain it in a dive, will lose them in seconds.

Anyway back on track.......

when the fight is down low, i like to stay high and watch the fight unfold. I can then pick a target who either acts careless or fool hardy or i can jump on the back of the gravy train. I like to "find/observe then decide whether to break/run/attack.

im a careful pilot lol.

The dogfight for me isnt about the winning or coming top, its about personnal goals for me. Id rather finish bottom with 1 kill and no deaths, than top with 5 kills and 6 deaths etc.
