Bf 109E1 2./JG26 Red 4 WNr 3884 belly landed Pas de Calais France 4th Sep 1940
Bf 109E1 2./JG26 Red 4 WNr 3884 belly landed Pas de Calais France 4th Sep 1940. Avions have this listed as a JG26 bird however publications have it as a EG210 bird choice is yours. Oh BTW i have redone my Bf 109E section again with a lot of adds so have a look remember to press F5. If anyone reads French they can translate the article for me on this aircraft. I have put it under the EG210 folder but if someone can shed more light on this aircraft would be nice.
I'm not brilliant at the camouflage schemes yet but hope you all like this one. Matthew I keep trying to upload additional images to this article but 1C keeps coming up with errors sorry about that. http://www.asisbiz.com/il2/Bf-109E/EG210.html Last edited by acred99; 12-11-2013 at 01:50 PM. |

Bf 109 E-1 I./JG1 Red 9 formerly I./JG131 1939-40
Hi Mate8
Thanks for your kind comments Here's one you may like. It's Bf 109 E-1 I.JG1 Red 9 formerly I.JG131 1939-40 In the book they say that the photo looks like it may have been painted all in one colour either RLM 70 or 71 but most aircraft used both in a splinter pattern so I have followed that norm. It does look like it's all one colour when the light hit's it a certain way. It took me a while to get the pattern to fit nicely so you can make more early skins with this. Matthew PS sorry I had to change the skin as they had early markings under the wing. Fixed now Last edited by acred99; 12-16-2013 at 03:01 PM. |

Bf 109 E-1 2./JG27 (Red 1+) Gerd Framm Germany 1940
Bf 109 E-1 2./JG27 (Red 1+) flown by Gerd Framm and aircraft named 'Samoa' Germany 1940
Was used during the Battle of France. Sorry I uploaded this first and decided to make the strip at more of an angle which is more Historically correct. Trouble was it took me a few hour to get everything back into alignment. Anyway if you have already uploaded the skin just paste this version over the top and your good to go. Also fixed the number one had a white outline not black so fixed that also. Anyway since it's Red nosed thought it would make you guys a nice Xmas present although in real life these guy's where anything but Xmas haha. But now it's a game and we can thank our lucky stars we are not facing war like our forefathers. They have this as an E-3 but looking at the photo's I think it's more like an E-1 anyway choice is your's will work in both. I'll add a couple more to make it more flying fun. Only Red appears to have had the Red Strip. Matthew PS the photo had removed the Swass so not sure if it's the correct position. I hate this habit of removing the Swass sticker from photo's as it destroy's the historical value of the photo. I think I added the Swass stick back onto the photo but looking at other photo's the Swass sticker could of been nearer the rudder if anyone has the original photo pls let me know. Sorry guys had to fix the skin I had the template set to high camouflage its now corrected for the cockpit level camouflage sorry for you guys who downloaded earlier. Jagdgeschwader 76
Bf 109E-3 1./JG76 White 1 WNr 1304 Frankfurt Nov 1939.
'white 1' of 1./JG76 landed by mistake at the French Strasbourg-Woerth airfield on 22nd November 1939 due to fog. Basically a major SNAFU pilot got lost in the fog and landed in France giving the French a lovely Bf 109 intact and allowing them to gain valuable intell not that it did them much good. Their own Government did more harm in allowing their country and their air force to fall way behind in technology. |
