I get pretty good results with X-52 throttle + IL2JoyControl. I set sensitivity really low: 2,3,8,12,17,22,27,30,33,37 for rudder trim on the thumb rotary, and 9,13,16,20,22,25,28,35,41,48 for elevator trim on the other rotary. Works OK.

For those using buttons for trim, are you mapping it to a keyboard key? If so, the "delay" may be due to the repeat speed setting and the amount of time between the initial keypress and when the repeat starts.

I use the two rotaries on the throttle of my Cougar and the response is very good. No real delay to speak of.

Speed it up, LOL!
When the devs are able to make it so that trim adjustments can't actually fly the plane, then maybe yes. Trim is not meant to pull a plane out of a max speed dive because your normal elevator controls have locked up. As a matter of fact, trim will pull up a plane faster than the normal controls will, with a keyboard too! Give me a break, if you are using trim for what it is supposed t be used for, it is currently WAY too fast. |
