I didn't vote because my case is a bit complicated.

I'm running win7 x64 BUT i would probably still be running XP x32 for the majority of applications if a power outage hadn't screwed up the filesystem on the XP partition a few weeks ago.

Nothing against win7, it's actually pretty good and stable as far as i've seen and while some things take a bit longer to load they actually run faster once inside the application.
It was just too much hassle having to reinstall everything from XP to win7 and i didn't have anything that used higher than DX9, so i stuck with XP up till now.

In fact, i still haven't installed anything apart from the bare minimum system and general tools and i'm running IL2 through a shortcut from the XP installation, since it doesn't need any registry keys, etc.

I would have installed CoD under win7 however even if my XP partition was still working.

Win 7 64 bit here.

Swiss, can you expand your poll to DX 9, 10, 11 card or make another poll with that?

What's holding you back to upgrade to SP3? It's been here for a zillion eons!

Personally, I wouldn't want to spend another minute behind an SP2 machine.

Anyway, last september I upgraded to Win7 64 bit after running XP for 8 years. I'm glad I skipped Vista. I still have a two XP installations for emergency on other partitions. I started with Amiga OS 1.3, then Amiga OS 3.1 and MacOS 8.1, switched to Win98 SE and NT 4.0, used Debian and Solaris,Then Windows 2000, then XP and Ubuntu. Uptil now Win7 has proven to be the most stable, versatile and crashproof yet!!!!

Windows XP SP3 will not be supported anymore by microsoft. They are pulling the plug on XP and probably vista.
Can we have a option to say: I have this OS but will be soon "upgrading" which will show how many people intend to change to win7 soon (which seems lto be many people commenting here who doesnt have win7)
