Salute

Yes, get rid of this. I have talked to quite a number of WWII fighter pilots, and none mention any thing about prop flicker being noticeable.

dont rely on the developers to go reading obscure forum threads looking for new things to do (even in their own forum) , our only hope is if this issue is raised multiple times in the bug report threads they make themselves (and that thread is closed now, so we cant post in it)

so be ready to pounce once the thread reopens

this is a previous discussion thread on the same topic, and with the same general conclusion (that the spinning prop during normal flight conditions should not really be visible) http://forum.1cpublishing.eu/showthread.php?t=32234

Old films in no way look like a prop in real life. What you are seeing is an effect caused by the camera shutter. Some of the mods have this cheap cinematic effect, but it has no place in a simulator.

None.

It's not reflective of real life. Get rid of it.

All cameras use shutters, and are therefore operating in a different way to the human eye. This is one point where film evidence does not aid an argument, which is a real problem as the majority of visual problems are solved through images and film. While your second video in that post is very close to real life, shutter effects are still very visible. For the record, unless they eye is moved the propeller should appear to be invisible, when your eye moves from A -> B your brain takes the image your eye sees when it reaches B and replaces your memory of the transition with that image, this is why if you look at a ticking clock it often seems like the second hand takes a long time to keep ticking. It's also why rotor blades and fans appear frozen when you look towards them.
