...How could i of gotten any further? You didn't answer any of my questions
Yes, i can add (same faction) units to the reinforcements...Only if i know the name. Yes, i can add airstrike and other locked reinforcements. I just can't add units from another side - Which is what you have done with the M26...Hence my asking..How? The spelling is different for Soviet/German reinforcements (on the saved games i'm looking at anyway..) So again, without knowing how it is written in the file, i won't be able to get far.. ---------- Edit: Thanks for editing your last post to include the text you used to convert one tank to the other...But that isn't the reinforcement section you're editing is it?..That's the actual unit itself you are changing? Seems like you'd need to know more than just the name of the unit if you wish to convert one to the other like that.. Unless you are just copy/pasting that info from another game's saved file..Then copying over the existing tank? So a medium Soviet tank would still be displayed as a medium soviet tank in the reinforcement section..But when you deploy it, it's an M26?.. Sorry for all the questions, but it started off sounding easy..Now sounds like hours of work just to figure out what to enter for what unit... Not sure it's worth it, but the initial advice on adding/unlocking reinforcements was handy Last edited by Nokturnal; 07-06-2009 at 10:24 AM. |

I just replaced the T26 with the M26.
{Entity "t26" 0xa021 {Position 1057.7 3246.41 74.48} {xform zl 44.81 y 2.27 zw -96.97} {SpawnedInFog} {Volume "ram" {able {visible 0}{bullet 0}{obstacle 0}{contact 0}{contact_ground 0}{blast 0}{select 0}{touch 0}} } {Impregnability harmless} {Extender "enumerator" {number 736} } {Extender "detail" {random 0} } {Interaction {Calls {"start_check_sinking" 2334 -1170.51} } } {Player 1} {Operatable} {MID 480} {Able "-select" "-emit_passangers_on_enemy"} {Chassis {MovementSpeed 0.130278} } } --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- {Entity "m26" 0xa021 {Position 1057.7 3246.41 74.48} {xform zl 44.81 y 2.27 zw -96.97} {SpawnedInFog} {Volume "ram" {able {visible 0}{bullet 0}{obstacle 0}{contact 0}{contact_ground 0}{blast 0}{select 0}{touch 0}} } {Impregnability harmless} {Extender "enumerator" {number 736} } {Extender "detail" {random 0} } {Interaction {Calls {"start_check_sinking" 2334 -1777.36} } } {Player 1} {Operatable} {MID 480} {Weaponry {Current "mgun"} {State "mgun" {Weapon "uber_browning" filling "bullet50" "ap" "ammo" 999999988} } {State "mgun2" {Weapon "uber_browning" filling "bullet50" "ap" "ammo" 999999981} } } {Chassis {MovementMode 2} {MovementSpeed 0.143111} {FuelBag {Remain 199.334} } {CurrentGearDir 0} } } |

Nah it's not working..I tried copy/pasting it exactly, i tried adding in the spaces (by using tab) the same way as it's displayed in the text file..
I even tried changing every mention of the word "t26" to "m26"..But i think this trick is a bit beyond my limited capabilities when it comes to toying with game data files... I'll just stick with adding airstrikes and allowing hidden reinforcements to be used Thanks for all the help though. |

That's the ID#s I was talking about. When you call up a t26 this is the one you get. So if you want to change it to something else you have to use those #s, and these {Position 1057.7 3246.41 74.48}
{xform zl 44.81 y 2.27 zw -96.97} {Entity "t26" 0xa021 {Position 1057.7 3246.41 74.48} {xform zl 44.81 y 2.27 zw -96.97} {SpawnedInFog} {Volume "ram" {able {visible 0}{bullet 0}{obstacle 0}{contact 0}{contact_ground 0}{blast 0}{select 0}{touch 0}} } {Impregnability harmless} {Extender "enumerator" {number 736} } {Extender "detail" {random 0} } {Interaction {Calls {"start_check_sinking" 2334 -1170.51} } } {Player 1} {Operatable} {MID 480} {Able "-select" "-emit_passangers_on_enemy"} {Chassis {MovementSpeed 0.130278} } } |

That's right it isn't the reinforcement section, to get a different vehicle to deploy when you call for reinforcements you have to completely switch it with another and use those ID#s, and you have to have that vehicles text, for example;
{Entity "jagdtiger" 0x81a3 {Position 570.08 3228.46} {xform zl 50.7 y 0.58 zw -95.27} {TexMod {"/entity/-vehicle/tank_heavy/jagdtiger/jgdtiger" "d"} } {Volume "ram" {able {visible 0}{bullet 0}{obstacle 0}{contact 0}{contact_ground 0}{blast 0}{select 0}{touch 0}} } {Extender "enumerator" {number 702} } {Player 1} {CapturedByUser} {MID 353} {Weaponry {Current "mgun2"} {State "mgun1" {Weapon "mg34" filling "ptr" "ammo" 9999999999} } } {Chassis {MovementSpeed 0.067} {FuelBag {Remain 199.76} } {CurrentGearDir 0} } That means you have to go into a saved game file to get it. I have a text file on my desktop where I keep all my favorite stuff. Here is a link. http://rapidshare.com/files/245736748/MoW.zip.html I figured out how to display the correct vehicle on the reinforcement tab. {"pz3" {state hidden} {text "$/rein_pz301"} {image pz6e} <<< you just change this to this>>> {image m26} {hint "$/rein_pz302"} {count 800} {score 6} {delay 0} {eventStart "rein_pz3"} {waypoint "1345"} Yea it's time consuming, I guess that's why most MoW gamers tend to stay away from my tips. I really like going into the saved game files and changing stuff around to suit me. If you feel like giving it a try and you need help just post me. Last edited by kane1; 07-06-2009 at 11:28 PM. |

Here is a link to another site that will give you an idea of what you have to do to change stuff.

I think you have to wait until the engineers set up a mine field. Then you can fall back to the second defensive position. I said I think because I usually play until I get tired of fighting, because I messed with the saved game file and now the engineers never finish with the mines. I could start a new game but I like having my tanks.
Changing things in one saved game has no effect on another. It is possible to mess up a saved game so that it will crash, but it can't hurt another save or a new game. Just make sure you backup your file first. Glad to hear your using the reinforcement tip! |
