Not to mention, PS3 is not split into ranked and player matches, which means they have less options (12 instead of 24) which has to make it easier to find a game.

Maybe when the game was new. But now I don't think anybody looks to find players in ranked matches anymore. I don't think ive ever seen a random ranked match waiting to start when ive searched. What we do is start with a player dogfight and send out invites and see how many people are around then we all join a party. If we've got good communication going its then that we often decide to go ranked and the host has to tell everybody what to search for when the lobby is open.

It must be a right pain having to do that on PS3 with only ranked matches available and without invites or party chat????

i prefer to play BoP on my Commodore 64. it has the best graphics and endless multiplayer options. old school FTW.

Awesome! I didn't know a C64 version was available. Is there a Atari 800XL version too??? Can I have some screen shots please.

^^ i absolutely love the all-in-one zoom, guns, rudder, flaps, bombs, rockets, landing gear, et al. control button! and no dead zone on that fine piece of craftsmanship!
