All running ok here.....I'm getting all the graphical bugs showing up,like the grass in hangars and the Hurricane steering column wires mixed up etc,as I guess everyone else is,but outside of that it all seems pretty good.

Edit conf.ini to start game in a small window. In game change back to fullscreen mode, restart game.

Add system specs to your sig. Cards below gtx460 or gtx560 have issues in this patch.

It was probably corrupted. When you deleted the folder, and then started the game, steam rebuilt the file.
Good to see that you finally got it going.
You should put your system specs in your sig.

Of big importance is your OS. Are you running Windows XP or Vista / Windows 7?

I have a GTX 580 w 3 Gigs DDR5 VRAM. I have no noticeable change in FPS when landing or firing tracers. If I am flying in or very close to clouds w/ mirrors enabled, I get a big drop. But nowhere else that I have noticed.

Clouds are not working as intended, I dont think that has changed since the release of the Alpha patch as stated in the patch notes. Where I can I turn them off.

What about explosions/fire/smoke? Do they cause slow downs for you?
