Default Alpha PATCH v1.06.17582 with Desastersoft Helmut Wick vs. J. C. Dundas campaign

Just thought I'd jump out of the cockpit for a minute to let you guys know Im loving this campaign from Desastersoft and that everything is working just fine.

I bought and downloaded this campaign last night and tonight I havent been able to tear myself away from it!!!

Not a single CTD or error in 4hrs of continuous campaign flying with all settings turned up to maximum at 1920x1080.

The first few missions are tutorials, which even for an IL2 veteran like me, have taught me a few things about navigation that I'd never learnt before!

The Desastersoft Campaign is looking and playing great with this patch!
If the 3rd party content creators can keep up and improve on this type of campaign as CLOD matures and when the SDK comes out this game will become even more amazing!

That is all.....

If I can remember to in the heat of battle and all... I'll post some screen shots and try to get some in game videos to post up!

Thanks for the heads-up. I was sitting in the fence, but I think I will buy it.
BTW, No problems with the language?

Thanks

I got the english translated version which is available as a 400MB download.
There are a few grammar errors and occasional words that havent been translated but it's 99% ok!

There is a good article on SimHQ that has definitely made me consider a purchase, I think I might get it after this weekend is done.

Definately check out Heinkills review on Simhq website per link quoted in an earlier post, its sounds pretty promising and as a SP flyer I'm thinking about taking the plunge with this too.
(I'm not using the recent Apha/Beta patch and am sticking with 1.05 for now)

This looks just wonderful, but until such time that the AI wingmen will actually follow you after takeoff how do you play?

S!

I heard a workaround to this AI problem from Thomas. Let AI have control of your plane until cleared for take-off. After that switch back to manual control and AI sees you as wingman/leader.
