Awesome shooting there Mr.X.

Strangely enough, I think I was a better pilot when I didn't have a TiR. That or I am just getting old...

Wow, some of the comments made about MrX in this thread are downright disgraceful.

It's amusing to see people get jealous about another's flying ability.

Well, my comments had nothing to do with Mr. X skills. They were about the dysfunctional 109 gunsight. I see a new thread has started on that. So good to know I'm not the only one still bothered by this critical issue.

Apart from the excellent shooting, I liked your energy fight with the hurricane of little_head. Great exemple of how to use a 109.

Thx for taking the time to do the movie btw.

Cheers,

Also, I must be using the wrong ammo as well, because planes never light up/ fall apart like that when I hit them!
Would hitting at dead on convergence every time have this effect?
I watched the vid again more closely. He obtaines these burn and burst effects on different distances. Most of them in the range 120-170m and some well less than 100m.

I am so not sure if convergence is really the key here.

I usually never obtain a full hit with explosions with distances below 100m.
