I don't think the lights should be destroyable per say (only maybe)... hear me out as to why.

They are just lights. They aren't anything physical but just a bitmap in space. What I think we're asking for are actual runway lamps. Like these ones: http://www.airport-data.com/airport/photo/026603L.html

I'm in total support of those being destroyable as they are actually an object. Maybe you want the others destroyable as an option.

My vote: make them all destroyable. And make them able to be "set" to another object. Destroying one destroys the light(s).

Any news on destroyable lights ...........

The ones we have at present are indestructible,
it would be a better feature if these were selectable.
Standard / Destroyable in the FMB object panel.

EG:

Buildings hangars, factories chimneys with lights are bombed but lights hang in the air.

Missed that one as I have stationary shipping with smoke as well as lights.

Cheers

The lights are often used creatively in the FMB for stationary shipping, buildings, vehicles, control towers and other airfield paraphernalia including landing lights.

When objects "dressed" with these lights are destroyed it leaves the lights hanging in mid air, hence the ability for them to be destroyable along with the object would be a great feature.

Search lights are nothing to do with this as they are already destroyable.

cheers

Default About lighs

Hello

The landing light from an airplanes illuminates the ground and objects, the lights in Stationary Öbjects don't. It is possible to fix this?

A row of aircraft destroyed, which produce smoke, the smoke has the same height. Have you noticed this behavior?

Hi All, I have a question to Caspar or to anyone who has tested this in the IL2. Do the clouds (getting trough them) lower the engine temperatures?

And Also: Do lower temperatures (i.e. in winter maps) do affect the engine performance? I have tested the engine temperatures through long descent in winter maps and the temperature drops rapidly sometimes to minimal with no noticeable effect on the engine performance.

I believe the maps do affect engine temps.. I doubt if clouds do but I don't know.
