Yes..

The pre-alpha version video that clearly states WORK IN PROGRESS uploaded by someone back in Oct 2009 as part of the IL-2 1946 DVD.

The thing I really don't understand about the whiners is how they 'think' they can play both sides of the fence and not expect anyone to call them on it.

Out of one side of their mouths they beg for updates.. Complain if they don't get an update.
Than out of the other side of theri mouths when 1C is kind enough to provide an update, an update that 1C goes out of their way to say is pre-alpha, and/or a work in progress, and/or even flat out say things may change.. And the whiners pretend nothing was said and claim some promise was broken

A perfect example is this video

Has any of the whiners mentioned all the positive things that were shown in that video that ended up in the final product?

Nope!

Worse yet the whiners act like there were hundreds of things shown (promised) in that we did not receive!

When in fact there is only two things that were shown in that video that did not make it into the final product!

Even though before CoD was released 1C stated those two things did not make it into the product.

Yet the whiners want us to belive that it is 1C's fault that they did not personally knock on everyone door in 2011 that saw that video from 2009 and tell them personally that those two items did not make it into the final product.

Take some personal responsibility people!

I have a question: lets say Oleg would not have shown anything that was not going to be in the game at release during all those years of developpement.
Lets say that all he would have shown in updates was what has finally made it for release. Let say he would have never talked about dynamic weather, photorealistic this and that, cinematic bailout, and all the ooooh and aaaaaaws, that we saw , even as WIP, just to make sure he would not miss the target and disapoint his crowd. What then ? Would we have been less disapointed ? Would that have changed anything regarding the reception of the game ? Would he have been able to keep this forum alive for 6 years if we knew that what fianally got out would be this average unfinnished sim ?
Come on...All the "unpromised wip" was part of the show. It was pure advertising . And why do Luthier needs another year to achieve those " WIP" you think ? Because it was not possible to have them in the game . At least for another 2 or 3 years. BUt WE didn't know that . So we bought the game.
Big failure. But dont worry, few patches and it will be just fine. Then, no more patch for now. On the ice. BUt dont worry, in about a year or so, maybe, just maybe COD will be there...After the sequel...
And now we are childish disapointed irresponsable whiners ? No. Upset clients . Disapointed custommers who had a forum to speak out. BUt it is the end.
I disagree with your conclusions.
Salute !

As I yours..

But also note that the only way you could disagree with me was for you to go off on some 'what if' tangent topic..

Try agian but this time stick with what actully happened instead of what ifs and I think even you will realise that two missing features from a 2 year old video is not something worht getting this upset about..

Espically if you were to take ten mins and make note of all the things you did recive that were presented in that video
