i believe there is a "don't ask, don't tell" policy on this matter

I agree there should be some modding on forums but over-modding is no better than under-modding. I wouldn't want this to get like the Ubi forums where the mods act like Nazi Gestapo agents. I think that flaming and insults are the only true problem. If off-topic threads were such a problem in of themselves, then why are they so popular and why so people enjoy them so much? I see people insulting and flaming others as much in on-topic threads as I do off-topic threads. So if I were a mod I'd only go after the trouble makers. An occasional off-topic thread is harmless and oftentimes refreshing. Now the topics on disallowed hacking and modding are not necessary and the mods have a right to crack down on that.

Lay off the neo nazi BS. It makes you look foolish, and unsubstantiates your statement. I can't imagine the amount of reading the moderators had to do during IL2's hey day. Many of the posts are unintelligable because of poor writing skills or translated from other languages. (no offense to anyone, just an appreciation for a difficult non paying time consuming responsability)

Are/were the moderators perfect? naaaaaaaaa. But if I felt the need to complain about their handling of matters I'd have voulunteered to help out if I thought I could do better.

But it's so easy to lob neo nazi flames. /RANT
