well done man, although the idle/startup sounds and german MG internal sounds are not adequate I think.

Sound has been one of my priorities in any game or sim, yours sound truly amazing! I've also enjoyed your earlier work and it makes the game so much more fun and realistic. Thanks, thanks and thanks!

I do agree it sounds nice and i was running IL2 modded before so i am not mod-averse in the slightest

That being said, i will sit this one out until we get the SDK because:

1) I don't want to risk getting banned from multiplayer and

2) I don't want to run around with modified FMs, especially while they are still not final and under fine-tuning/correction by the developers for the subsequent patch.

Don't get me wrong, what Jafa is doing is good because people enjoy his work and he is gaining experience with how the new game engine works that he can apply to even better use in the future.

I just think it's too early to use mods on my installation with so many things not being final and the current dependency of sounds on other FM parameters, plus the VAC ban possibility.

On another note, are those looped recordings or dynamic sounds? If it's not possible to have dynamic mod sounds at the current stage i'll wait, since flying with CEM and temp effects enabled i rely a lot on the dynamic nature of the in-game sound to help me manage my engine without looking inside the cockpit all the time. I actually think the default in-cockpit sounds are not that bad and being fully dynamic they really help with my flying, especially on the luftwaffe aircraft that use manual prop pitch.

Any ideas about that?

you don't need the modified FM's and anything else from jafa's pack, excepting the .emd files (which are engine modelling related) and the .prs and .wav. files (sound templates and sounds). you can delete everything else.
