*(you would be whining like a little *****)
Deascendent don't act like an ass. There a plenty of 360 people on this forum that aren't whining. In fact I think you are the one one, the rest of us 360 guys have said "oh good its finaly out on PS3 is it good?". So how can you say sgt Pappy would also be whinning if it came out on 360 first when the odds would be against this?

well bro, its seem that my Thrust Master RnD mapping goes on par wiv DS3 by now...I'd buy it from amazon around 2 weeks ago, it was kinda pain in da arse coz they didn't ship to asia, but sumhow i'd manage to get a favor from my friend that live in US help sort up for me...

but then...atleast diz time i don't need to remapping each time i'd play others game after remapping & need to remap again on IL2: BoP...

i'll try to utilize da extra R2 & L2 on sumting...ATM still akward using it...

What you don't like 500lb bombs or vicious rows of 10 HVAR's? It's a murderous attack plane, better armed than a stormovik.

I hope they didn't make p51 close to the spitfire though. It's max sustained turn is 24s while the spit's is 19s. It should not be gaining degrees on a spit in a loop chase. Getting angles on a spit or la5 should require some very clever 3d maneuvering for p51, or of course an good angle to start with.

But for those who like p51's, here is where I found the best info on its turning abilities. All the original Republic tests show nothing but climb rate, airspeed, drag, etc.

http://www.combatsim.com/htm/nov98/energy-man2.htm

Check out the last charts of the bf109's, too. The p51 can get angles on a 109 at lower speeds, but at higher speeds the 109's get the angles. Right about even depending on tactics. Also the F4 is waaay better than the g-6 at degrees/s, especially at lower speeds.

yeah I done figgered that out eventually but unfortunately everything else is so different that I can't use that layout online. Having a real rudder is important, but it turns out I need that fine throttle control more. Especially now that it's easier to disappear while your opponent has blackout vision. Also kept looking at the map when it was time to fire.

Good to see the patch is out. I hope MS puts it on the fast track.

It's been a while, and I'm ready to get back up.

Can no one find a work around with this so-called total customizable mapping feature?
As trk29 has documented, the best SIM pad layout is the default 3 map but the zoom is on the square button & so is completely impractible to use when scanning around or manouevring etc.
I have spent the evening copying that otherwise workable map to the custom page & wish to put the zoom to the L3 (thumbstick click as this is redundant on SIM in this map) but whatever is attempted, the f****** zoom (the most wanted mappable button for SIM players with pads)will NOT register, no matter what button you assign zoom to (but will register in arcade & realistic, the modes that don't even require this due to the padlock view). I have tried disabling one zoom button (as the map contains 2 zoom slots & 2 target cam slots), then the other, & even mirroring the same button to both zooms but IT WILL NOT WORK.

This was the only button needed for SIM players who wanted the dedicated Rightstick look around & it's beyond frustration that, still, it is the only function that can't be customized.
PLEASE HELP. I'm hoping it's just me missing something stupid here!!!
Hey I tried to get the click on R3 to work for zoom and other buttons and I figured out the same thing as you it works on arcade and realistic but not sim. Hope fully Anton will read this and provide us with a answer.

So I don't know why the zoom function is not working.

EDIT: I just noticed something with the P-51. I remapped the custom and when I fly this plane with this layout the plane stalls just like before, if I pause the game and go back to default 3 mapping the plane doesn't stall.
All sensitivities stay the same... Weird.

I'm using the Thrustmaster stick.
The braking at 0% throttle doesn't seem to be working. Is anyone else having problems braking with a flight stick or do I have something set up wrong with my custom layout?

BTW - Awesome job on the update Devs!
Love everything else about it.
