Thank you for this detailed answer! Great! It would be really nice, to get a Ju-88 C as flyable (C-5, C-6, or the G-1)

But why they are not listed in the patch notes? (New AI-Planes)?

I know the Ju-88 P-1 is meant to be a tank buster but I couldn't help taking a crack at the new B-24D in one.....awesome!!! Single shot kills each time, even had one just explode in my face. I think some armor was added for it's intended tank busting mission as I took several hits from the gunners .50 cals and the damage wasn't as bad as I expected.

Looking at the Ju-88A-6, I thought that it was a mine clearing variant. Well, it apparently isn't! I won't spoil it, if you don't know it. What next? Jousting lances or dangling hooks?

I like the cockpit, head positions/views, instrumentation etc in the N1K1.

p.s. at least the P-40s a have fuel warning light, and with low rpm cruise, it's usually possible to fly home. An in-game stop watch with realistic sound effects would be a nice addition, though

Even without Italy country, incredible!
We M.C.200 and M.C.202, maps of Donbass, Stalingrad and now Tobruk. I wonder what it takes to build a IT folder with a dynamic campaign or at least of single mission.
With all due respect for other countries, but it built the IK-3, aircraft built in 12 models but we have not even the cockpit of the Fiat G.55 and Cant.Z 506 and Cant.Z 1007.

Sorry for my english.

Tony, cool down, although there's no officially released Italy folder, we can have one since 2004, and several Italian squads are supported ingame, and there's an Italian language pack, and Italy is quite well represented planewise. Frankly, much better than its traditional opponent Britain. I know because the Med is my favourite theater.

TD isn't a paid group. It's volunteer based. The reason the IK-3 is in the game is because a small group decided they wanted to build an aircraft that was meaningful to them. So they did it.

Most of the major Italian fighter types are represented as is at least one bomber. That's not bad. I'd love more too... but someone has to make them. If you're so inclined then please do. I'd love to see a G.55 cockpit

then please do?! I bought this game and see airplanes that have been built in 700 units without cockpit, but see a plane built in 12 units functioning, i do not think a better decision.
Never mind the planes, Italy does not even have a dynamic campaign and singles missions in this game.

What you (and I) bought is Il-2 1946. The rest is gift. I too would like to have more Italian planes and maps, but having some British and French planes to shoot at is more urgent. And you'd better to ask for the Forgotten Countries mod, so that you could fly a G.55 against Messerschmitts if someone makes a cockpit.
