The "leave sector" and "black screen" bugs can be fixed by setting all files in your 7.62\BMP\HUP\ to Read-Only. There are several files in the sub folders, so I recommend you do this once and then zip up a handy back-up if a re-install is needed later.

Sorry, how does one go about this exactly ?

I confess I don't know much about tinkering with folders and files and stuff. I haven't a clue about how to get into the 7.62\BMP\HUP\ folder or file or whatever.

This black-screen problem is making my life a complete misery. It wrecked my first game and now, after uninstalling and reinstalling, it's wrecked my second game.

Help !
