Default add ons

Has someone a list of all official & non official add ons for il2, pacific fighters, 1946, etc, together with the developers.

I've been collecting the add ons, but there always seem to be another one that I find.

So far, I have found:
1. Operation Barbarossa
2. Operation Barbarossa Special Edition
3. Eastern Thunder
4. Ostfront
5. Forgotten Battles Aces Campaigns
6. Battle Over Europe
7. Combat Over Europe
8. Operation Fall Blau (Case Blue)
9. Wings Over Citadel
10. Rebirth of Honor
11. World War 2 The Luftwaffe 1941 - 1945 (currently being sold on E-Bay as add on for 1946)
12. The Air War Over Europe 1940 - 1945 (could be the same as World War 2, but different title)
13. The Last Days Decisive Battles over Europe
14. Normandy 1944
15. Norway 1940 - 1945
16. Pacific 1 1941 - 1942
17. Pacific 2 1941 - 1944
18. Stalingrad
19. Battle of Britain 1940
20. Crete 1941
21. Iwo Jima & Okinawa 1945

I might have missed a few, and some info might be off, feel free to correct me y'all if you spot anything.

Official Games or Add-ons:
IL-2 Sturmovik
This is the first and original game
IL-2 Sturmovik: Forgotten Battles
This was first meant to be an add-on, hence the name, but during Oleg Maddox' work this add-on project grew so large and extensive, that he decided to release it as a Stand-Alone game instead. It features all aircrafts and maps from the first and original game, but not the single player missions, single player campaigns or multi player missions. These can however be downloaded somewhere on this site I think, if I'm not mistaken. As such, the Original game is rendered entirely obsolete.
IL-2 Sturmovik: Forgotten Battles: Ace Expansion Pack
This is a geniune Expansion, and requires IL2:FB to be installed
Pacific Fighters
This came with the possibility to either be installed as a separate Stand-Alone game, or to be merged with IL2:FB and IL2:FB:AEP into a "Merged Installation"
Pe-2
This featured a set of russian bombers in the "Petlyakov Pe-2" and "Petlyakov Pe-3" plane families. It required the merged installation of Pacific Fighters to be installed.
Sturmoviks over Manchuria
Yet another add-on, which required a merged installation of all the above mentioned games (except The Original) to be installed.
1946
Yet another add-on, which required a merged installation of all the above mentioned games (except The Original) to be installed.
1946 Compilation Pack:
This is, as mentioned, a compilation pack. It features ALL of the six above mentioned parts of the IL-2 chronology (except The Original) on one DVD-disc. This is the one you shall be looking for on store shelves when hunting for IL-2 fun! Here is a link for Play.com, it is also featured on Steam. It is currently patched to v4.08, with a BETA-version v4.09b available. (BETA is without Online Play.)
Unofficial Add-ons, or rather, 'Mission Packs':
For IL-2 Sturmovik (The Original):
(I do not know whether these can be installed into the "1946: Compilation Pack" or not)
  • Eastern Thunder
  • Operation Barbarossa
For IL-2 Sturmovik: Forgotten Battles:
  • Battle over Europe
  • Combat over Europe
  • Operation - Fall Blau
  • Rebirth of Honor
These six titles (plus a seventh "Operation Barbarossa: Special Edition") can be seen here. Note that this is a Swedish webstore, however the descriptions of the game are in english. The games are also listed as discontinued and thus cannot be ordered.

I would gladly welcome a place where I could download all fan made mission packs... Might they be hosted somewhere safe?

For instance, I would like to welcome operation barbarossa...

EDIT: Sorry, I see that they are retail, and not 3rd party campaigns... In that case, they must be in the 1946 compilation, no?

Oh hell! Why couldn't those add ons be incorporated in the 1946 compilation?

There are too many of them: I just wish they were all available as a compilation...

The add ons are done by groups who SOLD there work (missions, campaigns, and skins) not by 1C or ubi There is a lot of time involved in setting things up.

Yes, I know, but the sheer effort it's gonna take to hunt them down is quite demoralizing (furthermore, from what I understand, compatibility issues with the 1946 pack will arise).

Robtek, I wholehartedly disagree! I purchase these games for the sole purpose of playing in single player mode, and I'm quite fine with that. furthermore, IL2 serves as a very accurate historical retelling of the war, which is quite pleasing...
