Adlertag campaign mission#7 Saturday, May 11, 2024 at 19h00 GMT on ATAG server.
Gentlemen, it has been six months since we started the Adlertag campaign.
The final mission #7 of this campaign arrives on May 11... I wanted to thank you very much for your participation, which I hope will be numerous for this last chapter!!! STORM OF STEEL OVER HAMPSHIRE!!! RAF Friday 16 August 1940 13h00. SCRAMBLE!!! Gentlemen, this is the fourth day of the final offensive launched by the German Reich against our motherland and our Empire. Almost all of Fighter Command's airfields in the south of England, from the counties of Devon to Norfolk to Kent, were bombed by the Luftwaffe. Despite the loss and destruction, we continue to stand up to this menace. The Luftwaffe loses a few more planes every day than we do, especially its bombers, which we are shooting down!!! The radar stations of the Chain Home tell us that two German formations are currently regrouping over Normandy in the Le Havre sector (AO.5)... Radar reports these aircraft are flying between 10,000 and 20,000 feet. Interception of enemy communications leads us to believe that these aircraft will leave the Le Havre sector heading north. Our pilots are warned to be extremely careful. Bf 109's of Jagdgeschwader 27 and Bf 110's of Zerstörergeschwader 2 seem to be present in large numbers as escort! Take off once more, Gentlemen.......and return to the battle! PRIMARY OBJECTIVES: 1, Intercept these two German raids before they can drop their bombs. Stop them before they can reach the coast. 2, Organize coastal patrols and interception raids over the Channel. 3, Protect all airfields between Shoreham (AM.19) and Southampton (AF.21) as well as the ports of Southampton and Portsmouth. SECONDARY OBJECTIVES: 1, A military camp has been created on the Isle of Wight. ( AF.1 It must also be protected. 2, Ensure the safety of the radar stations at Ventnor (AE.17) and Poling. TAB 4 menu gives you access to 'refuel and rearm.' To use ' refuel and rearm'......undamaged aircraft must be stopped at an airfield, with engine, magnetos, and fuel cocks switched off. 'GENTLEMEN! GOD SPEED!' Luftwaffe Friday 16 August 1940, 13h00. Today we are on the fourth day of our final assault on the British Isles. The German Reich launched the largest air assault in history on August 13. In a few days or perhaps a few hours, the most powerful army in the world will cross the English Channel to bring the British Empire, its King and its Prime Minister to its knees. It is up to us, the pilots of the all-powerful Luftwaffe, to open the road for the Wehrmacht and for our Kriegsmarine!! Let's make it clear to the British that nothing will stop us... Today our air force is launching a new attack on Hampshire, get ready to escort the next two raids!! PRIORITY OBJECTIVES (Fighter pilots): All Jagdgeschwader 27 and Zerstörergeschwader 2 fighter pilots must take off immediately and gain altitude above the Seine estuary! (AO.5) Remember: there are 2 Bomber raids to escort: 1, Rendez vous at 5000 meters (AO.5) at 13h25 with the first group of bombers. You will escort them to their target and back for their return to France. 2, You must also rendez vous at 3000 meters (AO.5) at 14h00 with a second group. Escort them to their target and back for their return to France. If you miss the rendez vous with the bombers, they will remain unescorted over England, and you will be solely responsible for the fate of your comrades! Organize close escort above the bombers! Some fighter patrols will nevertheless be able to go above Hampshire to deny access to RAF aircraft. To achieve this, aircraft will patrol the enemy coast from Shoreham (AM.19) to Southampton.
