Question about the U-2 aircraft

Hello, as I was looking through the aircraft in IL2 1946, I noticed that the U-2 planes have the ability to drop cargo. Is this the only aircraft in the game with this feature? And what update was the U-2 added? Thanks!

If you're talking about flyables that can do cargo drops I think the U-2 family is all there is currently in the stock game. The work that the Daidalos Team is doing with providing C-47 family & Ju-52 flyables in an upcoming patch will probably change that though. Currently, the AI-only C-47 & Ju-52 have cargo and/or paratrooper options, and possibly some other AI-only aircraft might also. I've never experimented with them to see how that works though.

And I'm pretty sure the U-2 family wasn't available (as flyable anyway) until 4.13.3.

It can be a fun challenge that plane, for those who don't mind flying slow and having no guns up front! It's quite a laugh to try landing in the Odessa sports stadium!

L2D2(AI only) has cargo loadout as well in the stock game.
One can find more "cargo carriers" in modded versions, of course.
