Default All Quiet on the Western Front

Howdy, what's up, what's everyone doing with respect to Il-2, do we have some new homemade missions on the way, Skins.

I found out why the Objects disappeared so quickly on my Pacific Islands Template, the Docks, (airfield Plates) were over areas of the Map that were on a angle. There are only 3 spots on the South Island that you can build a dock and not have this happen. The south side of Island, just west of the Air field, the South side of the Volcano Island, and in the lake.

(I was using it as a Japanese from carriers in QMB, so if I looked at the North island, I can't remember where or how abundant deep water docks spots were).

I laid rail lines from the Volcano Island to the airbase, breaking off to a Sub base, lots of objects, but things ran smooth. In the end, because you could not use them to move trains on, and they disappeared at to close a range, so I dropped it, It's also its 3000 =/- objects.

Deep Water Dock on Volcano Island, there's a rail yard, and a small airbase, Homebase.

West coast of Main Island
There is no real reason for this complex, but while I was running the rail line, it seemed like a good spot to pot some buildings, like a original coastal town that grew with the Military coming and bringing all the work and product.

This Island has to be in a strategic location, it's not big enough to wage anything other than a canoe war with the North one, which is just as small.

I did have a scenario in my head where the inhabitants loved Warbirds, but have tech like Transporters and a time slip machine, and the ability to produce these planes with some kind of 3D printer, and for sport, they go out and dog fight, for real, and if some thing goes South, they time slide back a few seconds, and teleport back to the cafeteria for some tea while they bring in another plane.
but that's just crazy

Bridge and rail yard. (we don't have a Rail bridge do we? I looked and decided just a covered bridge will have to to.

A AAA emplacement in the mountain overlooking the Airbase

A AAA base on the Hill over the Rail Junction.

A 4x.50 American Gun trailer, and a Bofors and some small AAA.

The sub base

With the using front markers to get way points, it is possible to have ship moving through the river, but with a rail tunnel, the river is blocked.

I just found these in my Fraps folder, and thought it would add context and a reason for Hey Whats up!! I have not played this map for a while, been getting slaughtered online. I did a little work on a Tobruk Mis, but that map stutters, both off and online for some reason, so I moved those bases to Europe, and DL'ed Cyberolas map mod Ardennes heavy Snow, which has a Summer version, but I had just started that, not even sure if the East air bases are below on the map mod, (pretty sure the were before), so don't expect much.

I chose '42 '43 aircraft for the HomeBases, they are more fun than under armed early war, or over armed late war IMHO

Here are some missions I have been working on, and the text for the rail lines on Pacific Islands. All of them can be opened in Net/Dogfights, or of course FMB, (no ship inland to be erased).

There you go, Cheers, Have a great Summer, Thanks Mr. Oleg, and DT.

Cool looking map.

Working on making a campaign for VMF-211 at Wake Island myself, and trying to see if enough 100 pound bomb hits will sink a destroyer. Haven't had much luck with the later.

Photobucket took down your images Music. I posted about their new Terms at SimHQ a few day ago. They are only offering 3rd party hosting with their most expensive option now.
I am not recommend that you pay their ransom but I do think you should be aware of it.

There are ways to download your albums if you want them.
  • Login to your account
  • Open one of your albums
  • On the right hand side there should be a list of Actions
  • Find the "Download Album" action
  • Click on it and it will make you jump through hoops to prove you ARE NOT a robot.
  • Play their game and answer the questions.
  • Click the download button
  • WAIT for them to give you a link to download the album. DO NOT logout and use the email link. It NEVER works.
  • Open the zip file and see how many images were lost, hopefully none.

Even though I can't right click and save the images there is also an option to Download each image individually. You will also need to download each sub-album individually since PB will not combine them.

Gifs and Videos must be downloaded individually also.

Yeah, I see that. That sucks, there's a lot of INTERNET that is linked to them. Guess it could not last forever, but they should have grand fathered it in.
