damage not being displayed

did a quick search and can't find a solution, if there is already a post about it, sorry.

Normally when a unit hits another, yellow numbers signifying damage and red numbers indicating kills are displayed. Currently, all I'm seeing are the red numbers.

I can check damage in the combat log, but it is annoying because I know it doesn't have to be this way.

anyone have a similar problem and hopefully a solution?
