it may very well be the early game demon "blood priestess"

Her sacrifice ability reloads fast and lets you generate infinitely many new units! even level 5 ones!!! all it requires is that you pair it with more demons to sacrifice! (even though they're summoned)

The amount per activation is also much higher than that of resurrection spell or ability.
