Too much ammo?

I'm in level 6 and I have around somewhere 25 rounds for the mosin rifle and 2 flare rounds. I was expecting this game to "give" you few ammo so you'd forced to figure out the best opportunities to use firearms and get the most of it and use the melee weapons for your most regular, easy fights. That increase the tension. Now with so many ammo I feel like a superman and don't fear enemies anymore because I know I'll kill them easily. What do you guys think?

The Rifles wil become almost useless against some enemies later in the game,

Dont wish for what you will get. Ammo for the more important guns will become almost scarce. I hated to do it, but actually entered a godmode for ammo. The bolt action weapons are totally useless in later levels. Too long to load. Which is really cool, but its just not balanced correctly.
