Il 2 sturmovik ultimate edition problems
Hi everybody
Recently I bought Il 2 sturmovik ultimate edition, and received it today. After instalation I lauched the game and changed several settings to improve video. The problem is that after I exit the game, the settings change to default automatically. For example, I changed from openGL to directx because with openGL the game crashes, but after i exit the game, the setting is automatically changed to openGL. How can I resolve the problem? |

If you let the program install itself to the default Program Files folder it is going to continue to give you problems.
Create a "Games" folder on the C drive and move the entire Ubisoft? folder into the Games folder and the changes should stay. The following is the Default location for IL-2 1946 so you will need to find the install location for the IL-2 Ultimate edition and make the changes accordingly. The retail DVD version of IL-2 Sturmovik 1946 is v4.07m. The game version may be found in the bottom left of the game startup screen. The installation file path defaults to: (32 bit systems): C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\IL-2 Sturmovik 1946 (64 bit systems): C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\IL-2 Sturmovik 1946 Installation Tip: **Changing "Program Files" to "Games" when you are installing the sim will make the patching process have fewer problems on machines that are using any Windows operating systems after WinXP. Modified Filepath: C:\Games\Ubisoft\IL-2 Sturmovik 1946 (Use the same modified filepath for both 32 and 64 bit versions.)
