I ended up buying the game as well.

Zhuangzi, are you able to provide a bit of an overview of the game? I'm having fun doing the separate text missions from reboot but it seems like SR2 doesn't provide much direction as to what to do in the 'main game'.

For instance, I start a new game, fly out from my ship in the space zone I start out in by default, and just fly around and not too much happens around me. The days just pass by, the one time I did see some pirate type vessel attacking one of the transport ships so I decided to attack the pirate so I damaged him up a bit, and he said he'd offer up 100cr if I'd let him go. I refused a couple times and eventually he just ran away since he was faster.

I understand the game is kind of free-form like Pirates! correct? So I could become a trader, or a pirate, or serve one of the races, etc. But at the start it seems my ship is slow, I can't catch much, everything speeds away from me so fighting isn't too productive and I'd rather be a fighter pilot than a trader .

Do you have any tips on how to find a bit more direction in the game for a new player for progression? Like should I focus on doing quests for one race at the start (and where would be the best place to pick them up), or should I pick an enemy at the start and try to visit their systems to harass them or would they just likely kill me off? I find the game to be a bit too open-ended at the start since I have no clue what I should be doing, and I don't seem to be finding anything 'interesting' to do on my own.
