Skull of pain rage regen question
Skull of Pain:
Halves starting mana +50% rage inflow +2 attack 100% enchantment power After the enchantment level reaches 0 does it still work? It still gives +2 attack, but doesnt halve mana anymore. So did rage regen stop working too? And is there any way to recharge it? |

Why. Atk and int dont mesh well.. Dragon Chain for a fighter gives same amount of combat stats in addition to autodebuff enemy dragons. For a mage rage eater or ancient amulet any day. If everything else fails - drakonix. I guess its an okay artifact for a mage, if there is no better item available.

I said among best items in game in pure stats bonus, it gives +10 total stats. There is no other item with such high bonus. And ofc there are better items for specific situation : Dragon necklace - Reha shield is 5 times better considering debuff to dragons and gives +defense, Ancient amulet - Skull of death gives +1intellect more, but lack those 15mana i agree it`s tough choice depending on your mage build (if you go pure dmg mage skull would be better, but if you go hard spell support amulet) ...
Variety of this game is great and it`s hard to say what is best in whole game units/items/spells vise. For every play there is some good things you`ll run into, and some bad. So just go with what`s available and enjoy |

What im saying is that this "promotion" is a downgrade, just looked it up, this skull is the only rage increasing artifact in the game (aside from some joke lvl1 item). So no matter the preference, for rage fans this is the only way to go, and to turn it into generic stats item borders with trolling from gamedevs.

Lets try this from economy aspect :
In Ap/Cw all hero classes have rage skill in might tree(so pain skull is NOT only way to go for rage fans). In the Legend only warrior had it, and skull of pain was great item to keep for paladin/mage because there was no other way to boost rage inflow. Pain skull +2attack , +50% rage inflow. Skull death +5attack , +5intellect. Lets for mage class add Heroism skill 2nd lvl and Pain skull = +6att , +50%rage inflow (for 12might , 3mind runes) OR Death skull and Rage skill 2nd lvl = +5att , +5int , +40%rage inflow (15might 4mind runes). So you get -1att , and +5 int for 4 more runes (there is no skill in whole game that gives you +1stats for 1rune cost). And you destroyed it for 3 magic runes, that mage class have plenty of. Waste. As for turning item in pure generic stats boost : +5att = 16.5% higher dmg for your units vs enemy.Same as leading 16.5% larger army, in case you have some 10K lds equals to 1650lds. +5int = 5x5%dmg , and if you make multiplier of 7 with this 5intellect bonus it`s +15% more so with this item it`s possible to get 40% dmg to spells, and if you pass multiply of 15 intellect, +1 duration. So how is this item trolling from dev`s ? |

True, the Skull of death costs alot in runes, but how is rune cost related to power? Demonstrated by the following quote

Every point in att/def = 3,33% dmg done/taken. Up until 60points difference your/enemy units.
And i mentioned mage just for example. In the Legend warrior have no problems with rage, other classes do. But in Ap/Cw skills are a bit different. As for cost of items check this mod http://forum.1cpublishing.eu/showthr...3335&highlight |
