Default Whole lotta shaking going on...

No, it's not Jerry Lee Lewis, but a Supermarine Spitfire. The last RC version was spot on, but yesterday I updated my game, jumped in a Spit MKI 100 okt. at 14,000 feet, and it started misfiring and shaking like hell. Temperatures were ok, I don't understand what the problem was. I had to reduce the RPM to 2,600 then it kinda stopped. But when I tried it at low altitudes It happened again. Less often but still. The problem is that I can see no logic behind it. It's not supposed to shake, and it worked just fine in the last RC.
Any thoughts?

Been flying each type now in ATAG chasing this one down. Yes I can now replicate it. Its just happening at different altitudes for some types. Unless you push on up there you wont see it. Previously I was limiting my tests to around the altitudes the Spit 1A 100 Octane was being affected thinking it would be the same for the other Merlins, I was wrong. RC2 and the STEAM release are the same in this area.

So far the types I have found it in are:

Spit IA 100 Octane

Starts at 9500ft at +6/3000RPM

Spit IA, Hurricane ROTOL
At +6/3000rpm onset is at 11,500ft. Reduce RPM to 2800 gives smooth operation until 13,500ft where further RPM reduction is required to 2700RPM,until 14,500ft when 2600RPM is required.
Once you get to FTH 2600 seems to be ok as the gradual reduction in boost prevents it.

SPIT IIA
Unaffected I have climbed the IIA in ATAG from the deck to 29,300ft at +9/3000RPM/2800RPM without issue.

So At present in the Spit IIA you are ok

Spit IA,Hurricane ROTOL just don't fight above 11,500ft ... sad but that is the reality at present.

Still testing the others to determining the rough running boundaries

Thumbs down

This is a desperate problem for those of us who tend to fly red and no fix in sight.
The 109 flyers are already inhabiting that 12-16k feet slot where we can't fight without high rev high boost.

I find it extraordinary that this is not fixed in this final patch after we all complained - this from someone who has always tried to be positive about CloD!

Sean- if you can use your influence, please do!
