Default How to "lead" a flight?

Very new to FMB, but I'm starting to get the hang of it. Just curious, I want to do something simple, yet I've been unable to figure it out, sadly. I've created a flight of 3 hurricanes, with myself as #1, starting on a runway (take off as the first waypoint). When setting the series of waypoints, how do I get the other 2 hurricanes in my flight to just stick with me (i.e., follow my lead), regardless of where the waypoints are set. At present, I can't figure that out. I take off, wait for them to take off, and then end-up having to link-up with them to the waypoints because they ignore me. So how do I take off and THEY follow me, whereever I go, regardless of waypoints? Or is that not possible?

Many thanks!

Coog

P.S. Note: I've assigned myself as plane #2 and #3 in the flight, but they always are "engine running" on the airfield and take-off before I can get the Hurri anywhere NEAR warmed-up and ready for take off, thereby leaving me in the dust.

Try just having 2 way points on the runway for the take off and none other...set them as ace for some brains

Assign yourself as #1 they will follow you as long as your plane is ok.
You can only assign yourself to one plane , if you chose another the checkbox jumps to that plane.

Thanks all!

Well, I did assign myself as #1, but they still didn't follow me. The did, however, fly to the next waypoint, which makes sense. Guess I should just be a better pilot and immediately after take-off, fly to the next waypoint(s). I was just hoping there was a way to get those in my flight to actually stick with me. Act as wingmen, as it were.

I'll try the other method of having a second flight on the runway with me, and I guess assign them to cover me?

Thanks,

Coog

They will follow with the 2 waypoints...take off/order a formation type to them, order close or far, and off you guys go

Try setting at least 1 more waypoint after the takeoff with the setting "normal flight"...

I´ve missions with more then 2 waypoints, set to normalfly and they will follow
me everywhere running ver.15950

PS.if possible attach mission to have a look at.

If there are waypoints AI will always follow them, its up to the leader to be there too. They will even crash into the terrain if the waypoints are not realistic to the aircrafts capability in shedding/gaining speed and loosing/gaining altitude.
