It is too bad you were not around for the past 10 or so years of IL-2.. Where 1C realesed several patches that not only fixxed bugs but included new planes and maps free of charge. Than you wouldn't have had to even post this thread.

well said AOA.
Those were good times,I never complained once.
Lets remember this another 7-10 years from now.The one thing i can say for sure about this community is that we have all grown old together over the years and i wouldnt trade it for anything. The friends that are made here last a lifetime on and off the gaming field. It funny how i consider most of you better friends than the moron up the road who just waves as they drive by you.If im not in lobby for a few days i get phone calls to see if all is well. You cant beat that anywhere.

im compensated just for being here

I also want to add a BIG THANK YOU and SALUTE to TD for keeping il2 1946 flying with new content and patches.you guys kick ass!!

Hi AoA, I am here - well I mean around as this forum wasn't even in our wildest dreams then - since the EAW and Jane's WWII fighters, the combatsim.com forums and Microsoft's The Zone - equivalent then to HL today - times. Been along with Il-2 and here I am with all of you, and I'm glad aswell.

But I am shy when asking for something for free to someone I don't happen to know in person *sigh*. If you are more brave than me, at least on this matter, 'the mics are open to your requests' ;o). That's why I left it to the 1C team's imagination to give all of us a big surprise.

Anti virus programs you renew every year or two. That generates revenue for them so I see no reasons game developers should not do it. Already a proven model that works.
