Default Will the beta patch be updated automatically in steam when final patch is released?

I was just wondering if the beta patch will be automatically updated when the final patch comes out on steam, or will I have to uninstall the beta patch first?

I'm thinking it's manual install for a couple beta patches yet.

The beat patch does not come out on steam, only the final patch release will be avialable to download on steam, the beat patch normally has a manual instal, the file that you have to download contains all the neccassary folders and files in the respected places, all you have to do is basically copy and paste the new beta files into your il-2 root directory. (there will almost certainly be a README file in the patch that tells you how to instal the patch,
and btw i have never had to clear out the cache from the game so i dont know where its located and i dont think its a neccissary step unless told otherwise by the devs. (thats not to say that its against the rules to do it i just dont think is nessicarry playing around with things like that-but tbh im not 100% sure what youd accomplish by clearing that cache anyway)

Hope this helps

go to documents, there you will see a folder that say 1CSoftClub.
open that folder you will see your Cliffs of Dover game folder.
open that folder and right on top you will see cache.
that is the folder you want to empty.

If ever the need to uninstall the game it is very simple.
Go to your Steam library and click on selected game right click and select delete local content.
You own the game it will Always be there for you on the games main page in steam.
click download and sit back with a nice movie while your game downloads from steam.
it will update by itself and notify you when game is ready to play.

I think the question being asked is whether Steam will update a manually-installed beta patch to the official patch on its release.

As far as I know, assuming you have Steam set to update the game it will work, as it replaces changed files as needed, which works from any version, unlike traditional patches that have to be applied in order.

As for any cache issues you'd have to ask others.
