I would start with the difficulty options. Select the ones you want, deselect the ones you don't. After all of the years, I still have some deselected (I don't play online).
For a career, I would pick the Russian fighter career, you can change the aircraft in a particular campaign, but it might be best to try them out as they come the first time through. Or you might pick the russian fighter career (one of them has an asterisk, I forget which), which is the original Sturmovik fighter career, that one you can't pick the aircraft, there are about sixty missions in that, the first one has you following a more or less circular flightpath in a LaGG-3, it was the original introduction so it's probably a good way to start. |

For an easy introduction, i'd start with a 109f4 in 41/42 Russia.
One of the easiest planes to fly, and better than everything you'll meet, after that progress to something harder. |

I would do a lot of reading first.. books or net (probably easier)
![]() One has to understand that as in real life, to become a pilot.. you have to study for a 'degree' (seriously - this is not a hit-it-with-a-hammer profession).. this game teaches you that. ![]()
