I just dont want to chance any corruption from the 'iffy' patch messing up the 'final' patch... It will still be 'finger's crossed' when it is released...

Silly Question …

This game is a mess because it was released before it should have been, don’t repeat the same mistake. Your juggling hot potatoes with this title, don’t release the patch until it is ready.

It would be a terrible strategic move. Their reputations are riding on it. Not just the usual ones you may know their names. But everyone involved will not even be able to list all this time on their resumes. They will wait until its done even if that means you continue to wait well into summer, fall or next winter. They have one bullet and they are going to make good use of it. And that isn't pacifying forum trolls. It's still a business and people have jobs and rely on their leadership for good stewardship of their careers so their families can eat. Not to pacify us.

I do agree that the CTD:s in multi player is the main problem now, the FPS is good enough on a high end rig at least. But terrible FM's? Having flown IRL since 1985 I can't name another sim that feels more real to me at least, even though there is for sure stuff that needs work like high altitude behavior... Do you have any candidates that feel better than CloD?

If they just have a week or two left they might as well wait (and no, I don't mean "two weeks be sure" ). If it's more like a month or two I agree that an alpha version would be nice so we can play online at least...

Depends what the patch contains. If it is the graphics patch then yes let us have it now because there will be some of us that will find glitches that don't show with the beta testing. You only have to look back through the history of il2 to see the posts that arise with members finding things that don't work under certain conditions. We are all going to become beta testers anyway just like the last 12 months so lets get on with it.

What he said.

I'd rather wait a few extra weeks for a 100% patch than have a patch that borks things even more.
